Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team and provide support to the individuals we support as a Direct Support Professionals/DSP in various settings such as their home, day center locations, and the community. You will support individuals with activities, habilitation, and daily living activities in Kearney, NE.

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a home environment, day center, and in community settings.

Hours:

Full-time or Part-time hours available.

Days, Evenings, Overnights with every other weekend required.

Shift Hours:

Day shift options vary from 7a-3p, 8a-4p, or 11a-7p.

Evening shift is 3p-11p.

Overnight shift is 11p-7a.

Flexible scheduling for all shifts is also available.

Every other weekend is required for all shifts.

Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Requirements: Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid driver’s license. Experience not required – we will train you!

Pay: $16/ hour is starting. Pay range is $16- $17 an hour. We pay more direct experience!
