Job Description
We are seeking a strong, bilingual Medical Office Manager (English/Spanish) who is available to be in the office Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to grow with our company. We are looking for a strong communicator to facilitate our virtual clinics throughout California.
Telehealthdocs is a medical professional corporation that has been in business for over a decade. We provide specialty care to organizations that lack easy access to specialists, as well as our own local clinic here in Bakersfield. We utilize HIPAA-compliant video conferencing technology to give both the provider and the patient a face-to-face encounter experience.
We have become one of the largest multi-specialty telemedicine groups in California. We plan on going nationwide in the near future. You will be trained in technology and assisting multiple Specialty areas, such as Endocrinology, Neurology, Behavioral Health, and Rheumatology, to name a few. Responsibilities
- Manage projects and coordinate project teams
- Complete required reports
- Billing experience preferred
- Help create policies and procedures
- Work with and assist the Medical Director
- Schedule appointments through EMR systems
- Electronically file and transfer medical records
- Follow up with patients and ensure patient compliance
- Assist patients and doctors during virtual appointments
- Coordinate between Clinics and Doctors
- Answer phones and coordinate appointments/medication questions
- Resolve Doctor/Clinic/Patient issues
- Liaison for THD with partnered facilities for laboratory, imaging, etc
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Manage Homecare Program
- Manage and grow your area of responsibility
- Additional job duties as needed

- Excellent communication skills

- Knowledge of computers
- Strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of PDF formats and Google Suite programs
- Time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize
- Familiar with EMR programs

- Experience working with Doctors and Clinics

WHAT IS TELEHEALTH?
Telehealth is a medical consultation visit using interactive secure audio/video technology, with the patient at one location and the doctor at a remote location. Think of it as a secure video chat like FaceTime or Zoom, but between the patient and the physician. Many benefits include, but are not limited to, decreased travel time, reduced waiting time for appointments, and increased timeliness of medical treatment.
WHAT IS A TELEHEALTH VISIT LIKE?
A typical telehealth visit is similar to a regular physician consultation with the exception that the doctor will be virtual. If the patient is going to one of our designated sites, the medical assistant will run the camera equipment where the patient and the doctor can see and hear each other, just as if they were in the same room. Patients treated at home will have a similar experience, with the exception of having a medical assistant there. The specialist will develop a treatment plan and work with your primary care team to give you the best care possible.
