A growing Winston-Salem company is looking for a warehouse worker/delivery driver's assistant to help unload boxes from trucks and checking in all delivered products.
Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Team player.
- Able to maintain a fast pace.
- Must be willing to go out of town 2-3 nights a week. (Company will pay for you.)
- Able to lift and load.
- The purpose of this position is to assist the driver in completing delivery routes by unloading and checking in all delivered products.
- Must have steel toe shoes.
Duties:
- Every order gets checked in Case by Case, no exceptions (complete pallet must be counted Layer by Layer due to different layering by companies).
- Assist driver with the directions to back in to the store if necessary.
- Make sure receiver opens back door or gate to building.
- Lower lift gate, unfold gate, raise door.
- Prepare to unload the grocery items to the lift gate, either by hand truck or on the pallet.
- Lower lift gate and begin to transport product inside along with the driver.
- Close gate on trailer and lock.
- Unload Pallet Jack, plug in electric Pallet Jack, lock up hand trucks and manual Pallet Jacks to the electric Pallet Jack.
- Clean out trailer as needed.
