A healthcare organization in Richlands, Virginia, is seeking a Junior Medical Technologist to join its laboratory team. This is a fully on-site position that requires in-person work. Remote work is not available, and visa sponsorship is not provided.

Position Summary

The Medical Technologist will perform clinical laboratory testing in an acute care environment and support diagnostic services and patient care. The role involves hands-on laboratory work across applicable testing areas while following established procedures, quality standards, and professional laboratory practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently.
• Process and analyze patient specimens according to established procedures.
• Support diagnostic testing in an acute care setting.
• Follow laboratory safety, quality control, and compliance procedures.
• Maintain accurate testing records and documentation.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow applicable laboratory policies and standard professional practices.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Medical Laboratory Science.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care laboratory setting.

Preferred:

• Two or more years of experience in an acute care laboratory environment.
