Healthcare IT Specialist

A dynamic and growing health information technology organization is seeking a Healthcare Information Technology Specialist. The Healthcare Information Technology Specialist develops, implements, and supports solutions and processes (both computerized and non-computerized) to meet the organization's and clients' requirements. The Healthcare Information Technology Specialist works closely with medical staff, system users, and vendors to ensure the successful implementation of products, business applications, and/or computer programs.

Position Requirements:

2+ years of hands-on experience with Information Technology Systems in a corporate IT environment.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, hardware, networking, system administration, including Active Directory, Firewall, VPN, and access permissions.
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Server operating systems, hardware, networking, and system administration.
Supporting systems and applications in a large LAN/WAN environment.

· Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical problems for users.

· Highly motivated and have a strong customer focus with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.

· Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

· Willingness to learn new technology and assist in areas not specific to the job description.

Experience with the following is a plus:
- PACS Systems
- Healthcare IT, EMR, and/or Digital Radiology Systems
- DICOM
- HL-7
- HIPAA
- Citrix support and installation
- VMware
- Messaging platforms, including Microsoft Exchange Server
- Storage and data backup administration for SAN
- Experience with Windows Storage Server and storage virtualization
- Endpoint security (critical security updates, patching, and anti-virus)
- Website maintenance.
- Previous help desk experience.
