Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations for a team based in California. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can balance employee support, administrative accuracy, and compliance-focused HR coordination. The role will contribute across onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR systems while helping create a positive and well-organized employee experience.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily HR activities across employee relations, personnel administration, and general team support.
• Coordinate onboarding processes for new team members, ensuring timely documentation, orientation readiness, and a smooth start-to-employment experience.
• Administer benefits-related tasks, including employee communication, enrollment support, and follow-up on eligibility or coverage questions.
• Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems, including updates, audits, and routine data entry in platforms such as Paycom.
• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters with care and confidentiality.
• Partner with managers and internal stakeholders to support HR processes, policy interpretation, and consistent employee practices.
• Prepare and organize HR documentation, reports, and compliance-related records to support ongoing operational needs.
• Assist with process improvements and system-related HR administration as needed to enhance workflow efficiency.• 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR support role.
• Hands-on experience handling employee relations matters with sound judgment and discretion.
• Working knowledge of HR administration, including employee records management and policy support.
• Prior experience coordinating onboarding activities for new employees.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and employee support related to benefit programs.
• Experience using HRIS platforms, with Paycom knowledge strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently.
