Direct hire opening with our transportation technology client for a Senior Signaling Engineer. This is a key leadership role where you will be driving the design and development of critical hardware components and overseeing all phases of product development.
Essential Functions
- Lead hardware design projects from concept through manufacturing
- Define project scope, allocate resources, manage schedules, and maintain budgets
- Design hardware based on requirements and specifications including PCBs, control cabinets, enclosures, cables, antennas, and other vehicle-mounted components
- Interpret and review complex PCB schematics, Gerber files, and system-level documentation
- Oversee hardware development subcontractors for metro system projects
- Develop and manage production test plans
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project and design documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7–10 years of hardware development experience
- Proven leadership experience managing hardware development teams
- Strong understanding of the hardware development life cycle from concept to manufacturing
- Expertise in multilayer PCB design
- Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics and design documentation
- Experience working with transit/rail signaling systems a plus
