POSITION SUMMARY:

Loudonville Assisted Living Residence, located in Albany, NY is seeking a compassionate and talented Independent contracted Hair Stylist to provide on-site hair care services for our residents full-time Monday – Friday 9am-5pm. At Loudonville ALR, we believe in the concept of “look good, feel good!” So if you are a stylist that commits themselves to providing superior customer service and enjoys working with elders, we want to hear from you!

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Schedule and manage hair care appointments for residents in our 2 on-site salons

• Provide a variety of services tailored to the individual preference of the resident which include washing; cutting; trimming; styling; setting; coloring; beard trims; etc.

• Create a friendly, respectful, and uplifting salon experience for our residents

Minimum Requirements:

• Active and valid cosmetology license and insurance in the State of New York
• An engaging personality that allows for easy communication with nursing home residents, their families, and Loudonville Assited Living Residence staff.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our residents receive superior service
• Excellent organizational skills to manage resident appointments scheduled during a given week
• Willingness to work with a diverse population, demonstrating patience and empathy to those with varying physical and cognitive abilities
