Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $50.00 to $60.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

Lead the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accurate recording of operational activity.

Prepare and maintain financial schedules to support balance sheet and income reporting.

Reconcile rental and ancillary income with cash receipts to ensure accuracy in financial records.

Manage accounts payable, payroll, and monthly accrued liabilities, including property taxes and utility expenses.

Perform financial statement reporting, budget preparation, and forecasting for management and investors.
Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.

Have at least 4+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably within real estate and multifamily properties.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of GAAP, modified cash basis, and cash basis accounting principles.

Understand investment accounting methods, including cost, equity, and consolidation reporting.

Exhibit proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, MRI, AMSI, or eSite.
Qualifications:

Maintain strong analytical skills to proactively address accounting and operational challenges.

Communicate financial insights effectively with management, investors, and internal teams.

Adapt to a fast-paced environment while managing multiple financial reporting and operational tasks.

Apply ethical accounting standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in financial disclosures.

Utilize advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
