Standards drive mission execution. We are hiring a highly experienced engineering professional to lead enterprise IT standards strategy and governance efforts within a secure defense environment. In this role, you’ll directly influence how technical standards are evaluated, approved, and implemented across mission-critical systems.

What You’ll Do
- Provide technical, logistical, facilities, and maintenance standards guidance to programs and engineering teams
- Support the DoD IT Standards Registry (DISR)
- Draft and submit Change Requests (CRs) to propose standards for inclusion in the DISR
- Provide Technical Working Group (TWG) support, including voting on behalf of the Government
- Review and evaluate CRs submitted for admission into the DISR
- Maintain standards collections within the Enterprise Standards Program registry and repository
- Monitor activities across standards development organizations to ensure alignment and currency
- Serve as a subject matter expert in standards development and lifecycle management
- Assist SMEs in drafting and refining standards for submission
- Support the inclusion of approved standards into enterprise repositories and the DISR
- Develop and contribute to business cases supporting standards inclusion
- Participate in governance activities, including review and adjudication of business cases
Requirements
- TS/SCI with FS Polygraph
- A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience or
- A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general system engineering experience. or
- A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience. or
- A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university, plus eighteen (18) years of engineering experience.
Note 1 – Examples of Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management.
Note 2 – Examples of related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics.
