Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring experience in Neuro, Vascular, or General IR and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

  • Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital setting
  • \n

  • Preferred experience in at least two of the following: Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR
  • \n

  • Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week totaling 40 hours
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • \n

  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire
  • \n

  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire
  • \n

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
  • \n

  • Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience required
  • \n

  • NIHSS certification required
  • \n

Additional Information\n

    \n
  • Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents responses to nursing interventions and treatments
  • \n

  • Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • \n

  • Obtains and monitors physiological data, intervening as necessary
  • \n

  • Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
  • \n

  • Oversees care provided by technicians and other support staff, delegating tasks as needed
  • \n

  • Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
  • \n

  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
  • \n

  • Compliance documents and onboarding requirements must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed
  • \n

  • Returning travelers may extend for a maximum of 26 weeks total and must have a 6-month separation before reapplying
  • \n
