Job Description

Overview

CTG’s client is seeking a Cloud & Platform Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud and platform solutions, ensuring alignment with security policies, compliance standards, and best practices.

Location: Manhattan, NY (onsite 3 days/week)
Duration: 6–8 months

Key Responsibilities:

Design and secure cloud/platform architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and monitor incidents.
Implement security controls, tools, and frameworks.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:

5+ years in cloud security, platform engineering, or related roles.
Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), container security, microservices, serverless.
Knowledge of security frameworks/compliance (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications: CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
