Job Description
A global industrial and technology-driven organization is seeking a senior IT leader to build and scale a modern, strategic Project Management Office. This individual will guide enterprise-level project and portfolio management, lead program execution aligned to key business initiatives, and shape the future of how work gets done across IT.
This is a critical leadership position responsible for aligning cross-functional stakeholders, advancing delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid), and elevating PMO maturity and performance company-wide. You'll report into executive leadership and have a direct impact on transformational programs, M&A activity, and long-range planning.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Define and implement the vision for enterprise project management and delivery excellence
- Oversee full project lifecycle across multiple business units, from intake and prioritization to execution, governance, and reporting
- Introduce and refine delivery frameworks including Agile, Lean, and traditional methodologies
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to track success metrics, portfolio health, and PMO effectiveness
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment of resources, timelines, and business goals
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of project managers and Agile coaches
- Guide change management efforts and drive adoption of PMO practices across functions
- Drive process standardization, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Champion stakeholder engagement and transparency across executive, business, and IT teams
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of project/program leadership experience, including 5+ years managing a PMO or enterprise portfolio
- Strong experience scaling Agile in complex environments; certifications in PMP, Agile/Scrum required
- Proven ability to drive executive alignment, manage large-scale project portfolios, and influence across an enterprise
- Deep understanding of resource planning, ROI tracking, and performance measurement
- Strong leadership presence with experience coaching and mentoring diverse teams
- ERP transformation (SAP or similar) and/or M&A integration experience is a strong plus
- Master's degree preferred; Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI) a bonus
