An exciting opportunity awaits a qualified professional to provide specialized mental health support to students in a dedicated educational setting near Aurora, CO. This assignment takes place at Meridian Academy, serving students in grades 6-12 who require intensive behavioral and social-emotional interventions. As part of a collaborative team, your efforts will help students thrive both academically and personally during the 2026–2027 school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider (SSP) License with an endorsement as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker.
  • Experience supporting students with significant behavioral needs, particularly in middle and high school settings such as facility placements or day treatment programs.
  • Deep understanding of Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes, including evaluations, meetings, and plan development.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to complete compliance requirements, including district background check and fingerprints.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver mental health services as outlined in students’ IEPs.
  • Collaborate daily with program staff to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Conduct IEP evaluations, participate in meetings, and contribute actively to IEP development.
  • Provide support to a caseload of approximately 23–30 students in grades 6–12.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state regulations.

This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week, on-site contract role beginning as soon as possible through May 27, 2027. You’ll have the unique chance to make a lasting impact on students who benefit from expertise and compassion.
