Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to provide Tier 3 operational support and systems administration in a Windows Active Directory environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, including server administration, security operations, backup solutions, and deployment technologies, within a classified and multi-domain environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 3 support for servers, workstations, and applications in a Windows Active Directory environment.
- Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory objects, including users, groups, OUs, and Group Policies.
- Manage multi-domain Active Directory environments using PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Monitor server health and resolve alerts using System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
- Perform regular system maintenance, including patching and performance tuning across production and test environments.
- Maintain Active Directory replication health and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Support security infrastructure using Group Policy, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Create and maintain security policies, backup procedures, and system documentation.
- Configure and manage CommVault and Windows Server Backup solutions.
- Resolve issues and manage deployments using Microsoft SCCM, including:
- SCCM 2012 hierarchy configuration and troubleshooting.
- Integration with MDT 2012 for user state migration and system imaging.
- Creation of custom reports for audit and compliance.
- Administer and deploy McAfee ePO/ENS environments for endpoint protection.
- Conduct infrastructure design, testing, and implementation for new technologies and system upgrades.
- Ensure systems are secure and compliant by improving patching and update mechanisms.
- Provide architectural solutions integrating network, data, and workstation requirements.
- Maintain high service quality by adhering to established organizational standards.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance (mandatory).
- 8+ years of experience supporting Windows server environments.
- Strong expertise in Active Directory administration, including Group Policy and PowerShell.
- Experience with SCCM, SCOM, and MDT.
- Hands-on experience with CommVault, Windows Server Backup, and patch management.
- Strong understanding of McAfee ePO/ENS for enterprise security management.
- Experience with Citrix and Nutanix Acropolis infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of enterprise IT architecture, system integration, and documentation best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, CompTIA Security+, CISSP).
- Experience supporting classified environments and DoD systems.
- Familiarity with cloud hybrid infrastructure solutions is a plus.
