RV Service Technician (Campers, Motorhomes, Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels)
Oregon West RV in Creswell is seeking a skilled technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance systems in recreational vehicles. The ideal candidate excels at troubleshooting, delivers high-quality repairs, and provides clear communication to ensure customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic inspections on RV systems—plumbing, electrical, HVAC, hydraulic, chassis, generators, and appliances.
  • Conduct routine maintenance: oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, brake inspections.
  • Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, fuses, switches, pumps, wiring, plumbing, and propane lines.
  • Handle specialized repairs (refrigerator, A/C, water heaters, generators).
  • Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to troubleshoot system failures.
  • Keep detailed records of services, parts, and estimates for billing and inventory.
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of repairs, costs, and recommended maintenance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in automotive, mechanical, electrical servicing, HVAC, plumbing, or RV maintenance. RV-specific experience or certification preferred but not necessary.
  • Proficiency with tools: hand and power tools, multimeters, soldering irons, diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean record.
  • Ability to access and interpret technical manuals, manufacturer specs, and wiring/plumbing diagrams.

  • Physical stamina: ability to lift, bend, crawl, stand, and work in confined spaces.

Certifications & Education (Preferred)

  • RV Industry Association certifications (e.g., RVDA Master Certified Technician).
  • Vocational training or associate degree in automotive, HVAC, or mechanical technology.

Working Conditions

  • Indoor shop environment with occasional outdoor service work.
  • Physical demands include lifting heavy components, operating power tools, and working under vehicles or inside RV compartments.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday

Pay

  • $15.05 to $20.00 depending on experience
