About the job

The Senior CMM Programmer develops and maintains inspection programs to ensure precise dimensional verification and support quality manufacturing operations.

We're looking for someone who

● Has 7+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience in a manufacturing environment

● Is proficient in at least one major CMM software platform such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, PolyWorks, or Mitutoyo MiCAT

● Has advanced GD&T understanding and interpretation

● Can read and interpret complex engineering drawings and model-based definitions

● Has experience with both touch-trigger and scanning probe systems

● Is familiar with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems

● Is comfortable working with CAD models (STEP, IGES, or native formats) for offline programming

● Has exposure to CT scanning, optical CMMs, or portable arm measurement systems (preferred)

● Understands statistical process control (SPC) and capability analysis (Cpk/Ppk) (preferred)

● Has CAD software experience such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA (preferred)

What you'll do

● Write and optimize CMM inspection programs for new and existing parts

● Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts to define measurement strategies

● Develop probe configurations, part alignments, and fixture setups for accurate and repeatable measurements

● Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process dimensional audits

● Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports

● Communicate inspection results to engineering and production teams

● Troubleshoot out-of-spec conditions and determine root cause

● Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment in accordance with company and ISO standards

● Support PPAP, APQP, and customer audit requirements

● Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on tolerance review and process improvement initiatives
