Job Description
Our health club client is seeking an In-House Real Estate Attorney to provide comprehensive legal support for new real estate lease and purchase and sales transactions, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk while driving business objectives. The position is on premises (not remote) could be either in Dallas, TX and/or Los Angeles, CA.
Key Focus:
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate transaction contracts, including purchase/sale agreements, leases, and development agreements.
Compliance & Risk:
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal real estate laws, zoning regulations, land use, and environmental standards.
Title & Due Diligence:
- Oversee title searches, examine property titles, and resolve ownership/boundary issues.
Liaison:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (construction, finance, operations) and external counsel for specialized needs.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law.
- 5+ years of proven experience in lease contracts with multi-unit retail sites/shopping centers.
