Job DescriptionJob Overview:
- Support manufacturing operations by setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality metal components.
- Ensure production efficiency, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machines based on production specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
- Perform machine setup, tooling adjustments, and parameter optimization to maintain accuracy.
- Load and unload materials using cranes, forklifts, and other handling equipment.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and make necessary machine adjustments to maintain product standards.
- Monitor machine operations and identify defects, malfunctions, or quality issues.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of machines and tooling.
- Document production data including output, quality checks, and material usage.
- Troubleshoot operational and mechanical issues and escalate major repairs when required.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Train new team members on equipment operation and production processes.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar technical role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Experience operating metalworking or production machinery.
- Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality control and in-process inspection practices.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or vocational training in machining, metalworking, or related field.
- Experience with fabrication processes such as welding, cutting, roll forming, or assembly.
- Familiarity with tooling setup, changeovers, and machine adjustments.
- Experience working in startup, scale-up, or innovation-driven environments.
