\nRequirements of the Family Physician: \n
\nMust have an active State License \n
\nMust be Board Certified or Board Eligible \n
\nNew Graduates are welcome\n
\n
\nResponsibilities of the Family Medicine Physician: \n
\nManage and treat common health problems, such as infections, influenza and pneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses, in adolescents, adults, and the elderly. \n
\nPrescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. \n
\nExplain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients. \n
\nAdvise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.\n
