Job Description

Company Description

At Dick Law Firm, we are proud to be Houston’s leading law firm for homeowners insurance claims, with over 15 years of experience advocating for policyholders. Our practice is dedicated exclusively to suing insurance companies on behalf of homeowners who have been mistreated, underpaid, or ignored by their carriers. We stand firmly with consumers, working to ensure they receive the coverage and justice they are entitled to under their policies.

Internally, we foster a collaborative, question-friendly environment that values curiosity, learning, and growth. While we recognize the high demands of the legal industry, we strive to balance that pressure with an informal, supportive workplace where people can be themselves. We believe that professionalism and authenticity go hand in hand—and that exceptional legal work comes from teams who feel both challenged and respected.

Role Description

This is an entry level contract-based Drafting Paralegal role, ideal for entry-level candidates looking to gain advanced experience in legal drafting and litigation support. While the position is categorized as entry-level, the drafting component adds a level of sophistication that goes beyond typical paralegal responsibilities. In many ways, the role mirrors that of a Law Clerk, offering hands-on exposure to high-level legal writing, procedural analysis, and direct involvement in litigation workflows.

The Drafting Paralegal will be responsible for preparing legal documents, reviewing and analyzing case materials, conducting legal research, and providing essential support to attorneys. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to sharpen their skills in a high-performance environment with mentorship and meaningful responsibility.
