Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location: Bronx, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks (With High Possibility of Extension or Permanent Placement)
Pay Rate: Local: $2,450 - $2,550/Week | Travel: $2,900 - $3,060/Week (Based on Experience)
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 11.5-Hour Shifts | 3 Days/Week | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in a Labor & Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have strong Maternal & Child Health experience and be skilled in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation while delivering safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients.

• Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal conditions.

• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures.

• Assist with conscious sedation and monitor patient responses.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.

• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program.

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.

• Primary Source Verification of License and Registration through NYSED.

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification.

• American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Certification.

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child nursing experience.

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience.

• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience.

• Labor & Delivery experience required.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a high-acuity environment.
