As a special education teacher in this elementary resource room, you will provide direct instruction to a caseload of up to 22 students from multiple grade levels. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping each student achieve their academic, social, and behavioral goals through tailored support plans. Daily, you will work closely with general education teachers, related service professionals, and families to ensure every child receives a comprehensive, individualized education that addresses their unique strengths and needs.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license for special education
- Background in working with students who have emotional and behavioral disorders
- Skilled in implementing IEPs and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful classroom culture
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized instruction and support to meet IEP objectives
- Collaborating with staff and families to create holistic support strategies
- Monitoring student progress, adapting approaches as needed
