Maintenance Worker / Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to service approximately 40 properties. This role is responsible for general maintenance, repairs, and facility support to ensure all properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. Duties include everything from minor repairs and painting to assisting with client moves and installation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across multiple properties
- Assist with moving clients, furniture, and equipment as needed
- Complete painting, patching, and basic drywall work
- Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs
- Install fixtures, shelving, appliances, hardware, and equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce future repairs
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe condition
- Identify maintenance issues and report larger repair needs to management
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and organizational policies
- Coordinate schedules and travel between properties efficiently
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or handyman services
- Knowledge of general building maintenance (painting, basic repairs, installations)
- Ability to lift, move, and transport heavy items safely
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Basic understanding of safety practices and proper tool use
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform manual labor
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various conditions
Work Environment
- Work performed across approximately 40 properties
- Combination of residential and/or commercial settings
- Flexible schedule may be required based on maintenance needs
