About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Legal Operations Manager (Contingent) to support the effectiveness, execution, and strategic impact of a dynamic corporate Legal Department. This role works closely with Legal leadership, attorneys, and cross‑functional partners to improve how legal services are delivered across the business.
This opportunity is ideal for a strong project manager, operational problem-solver, or senior paralegal who enjoys building structure, streamlining processes, implementing tools, and serving as a trusted partner to legal and business stakeholders. Prior experience as a paralegal or legal professional with deep operational exposure is strongly encouraged.

What You’ll Do
Legal Operations & Project Leadership
- Lead and execute legal operations initiatives, including process improvements, technology implementations, and cross-functional projects.
- Provide hands-on project management support to attorneys and Legal leadership—scoping initiatives, tracking milestones, managing timelines, and ensuring delivery.
- Oversee and optimize legal’s core systems and tools, including:
- Matter management
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
- E-billing platforms
- Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting to provide insight into Legal workload, performance, and priorities.
- Coordinate training for Legal team members and business partners on systems, tools, and operational processes.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel and legal vendors, with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and cost control.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing spend tracking for the Legal Department.
- Partner on communications and change management related to new tools, processes, policies, or department initiatives.
- Contribute over time to strategic planning and longer-term Legal Operations roadmap development.
Experience Required:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Experience implementing and scaling legal operations frameworks in a corporate, technology, or global environment.
- 5+ years of experience in Legal Operations, Legal Strategy, Management Consulting, or a related operational role.
- Senior paralegals, legal program managers, or legal professionals with substantial operational responsibility are strongly encouraged to apply.
- 10+ years preferred in a high-growth, enterprise, or complex corporate environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively across teams.
- Flexibility to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel approximately 5–10% annually, as needed, for team or department meetings.
- Working knowledge of legal workflows, including:
- Litigation
- Corporate governance
- Compliance and regulatory matters
- Contracts
- Experience supporting or leading:
- Technology implementations
- Budget tracking
- Vendor and outside counsel management
- Cross-functional initiatives
- Familiarity with legal technologies such as:
- E-billing
