Job Description
The Dayton Raiders Aquatic Center is home to the Dayton Raiders competitive swim team and the Dayton Raiders Swim Academy (swim lessons). The Facility Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the facility.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
· Assures the safety of facility users by enforcing pool rules and assuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding pool maintenance and operations.
· Conduct inspections of pool water for proper chemical balances, chlorine levels, and pH; conduct chemical tests of water; apply chemicals as appropriate to maintain proper pH and chemistry levels; assure safety of pool water; check temperature of heated pool water.
· Clean, maintain and repair the swimming pool, surrounding areas and related equipment on a regular basis; brush and vacuum pools, hose down surrounding decks and backwash water filters; clear pool drains, gutters and deck drains.
· Monitor inventory levels and assure proper storage and disposal of chemicals and other pool maintenance supplies, order supplies as required under budgetary guidelines.
· Maintain daily records related to pool maintenance, pool repairs, safety incidents, water test results and other assigned activities.
· Conduct or arrange for routine building and grounds (property) maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, janitorial, lawn care and snow removal.
· Maintain pool facility areas in a clean and orderly condition including signs, showers, toilets, dressing facilities, drinking fountains, floors, walls, doors and lockers, empty trash.
· Operate a variety of hand and power tools used in facility and pool maintenance; operate chemical testing equipment.
· Prepare swimming pools and surrounding areas for swimming meets and other athletic events; set up swim lanes, scoreboards and other athletic equipment.
· Required to be at all home swim meets to coordinate with volunteers on operational functions and ensure the facility & equipment operate effectively and safely.
· Work with the Club's Board of Directors to consistently improve facility procedures and standards
· Perform other work-related duties, as assigned, pertaining to the facility and surrounding property.
· Perform work related duties during day and night, weekends & holidays.
