Position Summary
Our client is seeking a professional, organized, and personable Receptionist / Legal Assistant to join our team. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients while providing administrative and legal support to our attorneys. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, legal documents, and packages.
- Order, maintain, and organize office supplies and common office areas.
- Assist with preparing legal documents, correspondence, and other attorney materials.
- Organize and maintain both paper and electronic client files.
- Manage case documents using electronic database systems and litigation support software, including Smokeball.
- Prepare witness and exhibit binders for depositions, hearings, and trial.
- Assist attorneys with legal paperwork and case-related administrative tasks.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, photocopying, and document management.
- Help ensure the office operates efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

- Experience with legal case management software, such as Smokeball, is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with document management systems, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and office hardware is a plus.
- Previous experience in a law office or professional office environment is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or legal education is a plus.
