Position Overview:

MP embraces an owner operator culture, and the Enterprise Data Analyst will be empowered to develop and maintain the Company’s reporting and analytics portfolio in collaboration with the broader analytics team. This position will possess a unique view of the business and support finance, manufacturing, and other functional teams in developing and analyzing key performance indicators, resource allocation, and future planning. The Enterprise Data Analyst will be a key member of MP Materials’ corporate financial planning and analysis team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process financial and other types of data for use in reports and analysis
  • Develop reports, dashboards, visualizations, and other statistical analysis
  • Analyze and interpret data, reports, and analysis
  • Present conclusions and recommendations with clear distinction between fact and opinion
  • Support in the development of other enterprise analysis
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, weekly manager reports and recurring analysis
  • Develop statistical analysis using large disparate data sources to form new insights and support
  • strategic decision processes
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports and analysis for senior leaders
  • Manage aspects of the analytical architecture
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus in finance, accounting, economics, math or computer science
  • 3+ year work experience in manufacturing or public company experience is desired
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and operational data analytics
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with manufacturing accounting systems such as SAP is a plus · Experience with Power BI, SQL or other similar tools to prepare large datasets and develop analytics is a plus

  • Ability to identify objectives, collect and process data, analyze and interpret results, and present conclusion and recommendations
  • Must be self-directed, highly collaborative, and able to handle a variety of responsibilities
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization, including senior management
  • Ability to work with internal customers and external agencies for compliance and controls
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills
  • Familiarity with, or keen interest in learning about, mining, manufacturing, and industrial processes
