Location: San Jose, CA
Salary: $120K-$200K base (salary depends on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical VDC/BIM Manager to lead our Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design Construction (VDC) efforts. This role will be crucial in managing the integration of technology and processes to improve project delivery within the construction sector, particularly in commercial and healthcare projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of BIM and VDC strategies for electrical projects.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate modeling and information sharing throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of electrical BIM models using Revit and other software tools.
- Facilitate training and support for team members on BIM and VDC best practices and software.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that the designs meet project specifications and standards.
- Manage the BIM execution plan and ensure compliance with project deliverables and timelines.
- Conduct quality control checks and validations of BIM data and models prior to project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in BIM management, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design Construction (VDC) processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience in commercial and healthcare construction projects is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications in BIM or VDC are desirable.
