This is a highly technical, hands-on role with key responsibilities spanning our hybrid infrastructure, Microsoft 365 environment, and multi-tenant operations. You will serve as both an operational leader and a technical escalation resource, playing a critical part in maintaining secure systems and supporting ongoing migrations and modernization projects.

Big-Picture Overview: What You'll Do as a Senior Systems Engineer:
- Own and administer our Microsoft 365 tenant (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Defender).
- Oversee and support hybrid infrastructure, including Azure cloud services, on-prem data center environments, and VMware virtual infrastructure.
- Lead or assist with Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, especially for franchise partners (email, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Provide hands-on security management across M365 services—respond to alerts, configure policies, and manage permissions.
- Support SharePoint Online environment (site creation, document management, migration support—not a developer role).
- Monitor and respond to service desk escalations (Tier 3), ensuring issues are documented and resolved promptly.
- Participate in strategic IT projects such as our intranet modernization (e.g., migrating from Kentico to SharePoint).
Must-Haves for Success in This Role:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 tenant administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Defender.
- 10+ years of experience supporting and managing VMware Virtual Infrastructures.
- 10 to 15 years of experience supporting VOIP environments and leading successful VOIP migrations.
- Experience with SharePoint Online support, including site management and permissions.
- Comfortable working in a high-accountability, team-based environment.
