New York Breast Surgery Center provides personalized breast surgery and breast enhancement procedures in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Led by Dr. David Shokrian, MD, and Mohamed Soliman Ahmed Elfar, MD, MS, FACS, the practice offers breast augmentation, mastopexy, breast reduction, breast reconstruction, revision breast surgery, fat transfer breast augmentation, implant removal, asymmetry correction, nipple and areola procedures, and gynecomastia surgery. Who Is Dr. David Shokrian? Dr. David Shokrian is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at New York Breast Surgery Center. Breast surgery is his specialty, as he performs every procedure — from routine breast augmentation with traditional saline- and silicone-filled implants to complex corrections like capsular contracture treatment and full breast reconstruction — with equal finesse. His training has been impressive. He spent 18 years in the operating room before entering private practice. He trained across two countries, completed two fellowships and rotated through five institutions. In a city full of plastic surgeons, that background is hard to match. Women and men come to New York Breast Surgery Center for different reasons. Some want aesthetic improvements. Others need reconstruction after a mastectomy or cancer treatment. He doesn’t draw a line between the two. “I enjoy creating and restoring beauty,” says Dr. Shokrian. “I pride myself on finding beauty in every one of my patients.” Where Did Dr. Shokrian Train? Dr. Shokrian attended medical school in Israel and did his residency in New York. Two fellowships in two different surgical disciplines created a longer road than the one most of his peers took. His full education and training include: Stony Brook University Honors College (undergraduate, 2003) Tel Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine (MD, 2007) Nassau University Medical Center, New York (General Surgery residency) William Randolph Hearst Burn Center, Weill Cornell Medical Center (Burn Surgery fellowship, 2012–2013) University of Alabama at Birmingham (Plastic Surgery fellowship, 2014–2017) He completed the two fellowships back to back, whereas most surgeons stop after the first. Dr. Shokrian opened his private practice with a surgical range that took years to build.
