What will you do?
As a pediatrician on our care team, you'll provide gold standard developmental and medical care to patients at Cortica. You'll collaborate closely with cognitive-behavioral pediatric neurologists, epileptologists, and pediatric nurse practitioners to diagnose and treat genetic, metabolic, neurological, GI, and other conditions that commonly occur in children with autism and other developmental diagnoses. We provide in-depth training and ongoing education to support you to become an expert in the diagnosis and management of pediatric neurodevelopmental conditions. We use a wide range of medical therapies, including nutrition modification and supplementation, medication management, and neuromodulation (device therapeutics). You'll receive training and support to learn to apply these therapies to optimize developmental outcomes for your patients. Cortica utilizes a comprehensive set of standardized assessments to track developmental outcomes. You'll gain a deep understanding of these assessments and will use outcome metrics to guide your patients' comprehensive therapy programs.
Physicians at Cortica generally spend 60 minutes for new-patient appointments and 30 minutes for follow-up appointments. Your schedule will be weekdays only with no evening or weekend coverage (no on-call requirements).

Requirements
<ul>
<li> Board Certified in designated specialty field of practice is required</li>
<li>Must be in possession of a current medical license to practice in the State of California, including DEA license, and CPR.</li>
<li>Two years of experience as a Pediatrician preferred</li>
<li>Previous experience providing medical care within a community health setting preferred</li>
</ul>

                                    Reimbursement for Medical license fee DEA license fee, hospital privileges, Patterson business license, professional membership, Stanislaus &amp; CA Medical Society membership, CME expenses ($2,000/yr), retirement (3%), fixed rate for Health Insurance. Job Summary: The successful candidate will be a California licensed, board-certified Pediatrician who has experience working with children of all ages and various medical conditions. Our clinic is a Rural Health Clinic (RHC), and as such, we need a flexible, knowledgeable, and compassionate physician who is seasoned in the care and well-being of children in our community. The successful candidate will accept patient referrals, provide primary medical care, consult with specialists, respond to pediatric emergencies, work with community leaders to educate the community on issues related to children’s health and work collaboratively with the medical staff. Our community is composed of a large agricultural base and industrial distribution centers. We have a large Spanish speaking population. We are looking for someone oriented to serving the underserved.   This is an excellent opportunity to work within a warm, caring atmosphere where the health of our children is top priority.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Indirectly supervises Mid-Level Providers and Medical Assistants.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
<ul>
<li> MD or DO degree</li>
<li> 2+ years’ experience in pediatric medicine</li>
<li> Licensed in the State of California</li>
<li> Board certified through the Board of Pediatrics (or in process)</li>
<li> BLS, PALS</li>
<li> Experience with EHR (electronic health records) required</li>
</ul>

<li> Ability to read and interpret documents operating and/or maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with customers and all members of the health care team. </li>
<li> Preferred bilingual in the English and Spanish languages both written and oral.</li>
