Job Summary
The Financial and Human Resources Specialist will provide administrative support in the areas of Finance, Human Resources, and Special Projects. Finance tasks include supporting the budget process, preparing financial information for grants, providing financial analysis, and serving as back up to the financial specialist.
Human Resource tasks include posting new positions and screening qualified candidates for open positions, creating the necessary paperwork to onboard new staff and entering information into the MUNIS Human Capital Management system. This position will schedule d track all necessary staff training for new and current staff.
This position will also work cross departmentally to provide support on special projects.
Job Scope
No supervisory experience. Responsible for the preparation, administration, and monitoring of financial operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. ASSISTS with the coordination and preparation of the annual operating budget, Three Year Plan, Tax Levy, and Capital Improvement Budget.
2. PARTICIPATES in the NHS Finance Committee. ATTENDS financial presentations, workshops, and other related meetings.
3. PREPARES biweekly projections of salaries and benefits expenditures.
4. PREPARES budgeting tools, such as ROI’s, for projects and programs.
5. PREPARES documents for new grant submissions and financial reports for awarded grants.
6. SERVES as backup for financial specialist.
7. POSTS open positions and screens qualified candidates for interviews. CONDUCTS and DOCUMENTS onboarding and termination processes.
8. SCHEDULES and tracks staff training as required, including but not limited to Blackbaud, MUNIS, and City required training.
9. PREPARES staff reports for review by Chief Operating Officer.
10. COLLABORATES on special projects, including planning, implementation, and budgeting.
11. WORKS in a COLLABORATIVE manner with all institutional staff PERFORMANING other duties as may be appropriate and needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Primary Responsibilities

<li>Reconcile numerous accounts using QuickBooks Online.</li>
<li>Utilize Intuit Online Payroll and ADP payroll to process.</li>
<li>Prepare and review financial statements, produce monthly compliance reports and other reports as requested.</li>
<li>Research and analyze complex payroll issues including reconciliations, overpayments, taxation and adjustments. LOD is actively seeking a contract Finance Account Specialist for an assignment with a law firm client. This role will be fully on site in Washington, DC and will pay a maximum of $35/hour. This assignment will last 3-6 months.
SUMMARY 
The Finance Accounts Specialist is one of the points of contact for accounting and finance needs of the firm. This role will prepare and/or review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and completion. This position reports to the Assistant Controller and supervises one staff member. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills to manage large amounts of data, be a problem solver, able to identify areas of improvement along with providing suggested solutions.
JOB DESCRIPTION

<li>Perform assigned monthly closing process in a timely fashion and ensure accuracy under US GAAP</li>
<li>Construct, manage and review monthly journal entries prepared by other team members</li>

Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the quality of both outpatient and inpatient coded clinical and administrative date. Responsible for synthesizing audit findings to provide actionable feedback to physicians and administrators on areas of improvement. Candidate is expected to be an active participant in continuous quality improvement processes and workgroups with a strong partnership with HCC co-worker specialists and other quality management staff. Educate providers and administrative staff on correct coding and charting as it applies to Medicare Advantage and Covered CA members. Will provide in-services in small and large group settings. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reviews and audits medical records at provider offices/clinics to identify coding risk areas and ensure that training activities are addressing these areas.
2. Review records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with regulations.
3. Identify and communicate documentation deficiencies to providers to improve documentation for accurate risk adjustment coding.
4. Using independent judgement and sensitivity, review with individual physicians and clinic administrators their audit findings and make suggestions for coding improvements.
5. Provide written documentation of potential HCC codes to providers at the point of care while ensuring accuracy of coding and documentation.
6. Resolve or clarify codes or diagnoses with conflicting, missing or unclear information by consulting with providers.
7. Provide expertise in reviewing and assigning accurate medical diagnoses codes for a wide variety of clinical cases based on services performed by physician and other qualified healthcare providers in the office or clinic setting.
8. Demonstrate sound knowledge of medical coding guidelines and regulations to assist providers and clinic administrators the impact of diagnosis coding on risk adjustment payment models.
9. Maintain a professional and supportive working relationship with clinic staff, health plan staff, administration and physicians.
10. Demonstrate high level of proficiency with documentation review including review of orders/results for lab, imaging, hospital records, EHR, etc. as a possible source for HCC codes.
11. Participate in meetings as requested in order to establish and maintain interdepartmental and external partner communication and cooperation.
