The Delivery Pilot Intern will gain experience in many different areas within the Delivery Operations department while gaining professional experience with a global leader in general aviation manufacturing. The Delivery Pilot Intern’s primary responsibility will be supporting the Delivery Operations Team with their day-to-day responsibilities. As a very customer-facing member of the Cirrus team, this person will be expected to interact with Cirrus customers and assist as necessary. Cirrus Aircraft is searching for a full-time summer Delivery Pilot Intern in Knoxville, TN from May 2026 through August 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
<ul>
<li>Adhere to all industry and Cirrus established safety procedures and policies when performing job duties</li>
<li>Provide excellent and professional customer service</li>
<li>Participate as a member of a team of professional and dedicated employees.</li>
<li>Provide support through administrative processes within the Delivery Operations department.</li>
<li>Develop skills vitally important in today’s fast-paced work environment including analytical skills, team-based interaction, goal setting and strategic planning, the ability to work under pressure, listening and organizational skills, among others. </li>
<li>Make timely and accurate decisions regarding safety of flight.</li>
<li>Meticulously record all training event activities and results in pilot training records.</li>
<li>Act as pilot in command of Cirrus aircraft while performing corporate flight missions, ferry flights, internal training flights, and demonstration flights.</li>
<li>Perform normal pre-flight and post flight inspections as well as clean, fuel, add oil and de-ice fluid, update chart subscriptions, etc.</li>
<li>Manage travel expenses in accordance with Cirrus company policies.</li>
<li>Continuous learning of the latest developments in the Cirrus Aircraft line of aircraft products.</li>
<li>Provide feedback for program improvements.</li>
<li>Identify needs to escalate concerns as appropriate.</li>
<li>Develop effective methods of safety communication, recordkeeping, ramp operations, and fleet management for flying club functions.</li>
<li>All other duties as assigned.</li>

Required Education, Experience or License:

Position Summary
We are currently seeking experienced tactical pilots to support our DoD contracts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in military tactical flying, particularly in ADAIR (Adversary Air) and Contracted Close Air Support (CCAS). Key Responsibilities

<li>Previous experience as a qualified DoD flight lead (4-ship for Adversary Air, 2-ship for Contracted Close Air Support) in F- or A-designated aircraft.</li>
<li>Tactical flying qualification within the last 5 years with a US Military Department, foreign DoD equivalent, or a US DoD contractor supporting Adversary Air or Contracted Close Air Support.</li>
<li>Tactical aircraft time in support of ADAIR is defined as flight hours in any Government-owned F-, A-designation, including T-38 ADAIR, T-38 IFF, and international exchange fighter equivalent aircraft while serving as Pilot in Command, Instructor Pilot, or Stan/Eval Flight Examiner.</li>
<li>FAA Class II medical rating.</li>
<li>FAA Commercial and Instrument Rating.</li>
