Keystone Advisors is looking for a Certified Public Accountant to support the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
The CPA will provide the client with accurate, timely, and efficient accounting; financial statement compilation.
This is a 100% remote position, but client prefers that applicants live in the DMV area. 
This position offers flexible hours (front loaded), the CPA will work 40 hours per week the first two weeks of the month with the possibility of some overtime and 10 hours per week the balance of the month.
Job Duties:

<li>Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports including trial balances, cash in bank reports, general journals, balance sheets, income statements, expense statements, general ledgers and Schedule of Money Laundering Transactions with individual descriptions for each transaction based upon monthly bank statements and documentation provided by DEA personnel. </li>
<li>Review all supporting documentation; e.g., purchase orders, paid invoices, etc. for proper approval (as evidenced by DEA management signatures). </li>

Qualifications/Requirements:

Oversight Responsibilities include:

Requirements:
Education:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred</li>
<li>CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation preferred</li>

Experience:

<li>Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role</li>

<h3>Job Description</h3>
Position Function:
Prepares financial and regulatory reports for Central Pacific Financial Corp. and its subsidiaries. Ensures timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of reports and filings and the Company's compliance with all accounting and financial reporting policies, generally accepted accounting principles ("GAAP"), and banking regulatory requirements. Keeps abreast of all changes in accounting and reporting requirements and facilitates changes in policies and procedures as needed to maintain compliance. This position provides exposure to business-related issues and the opportunity to develop analytical, business judgment, technical, and interpersonal skills.

Primary Accountabilities:
<ul>
<li>Prepare and analyze external financial and regulatory reports (Call Report, FR-2644, FR-Y9C, FR-Y9LP) for the FDIC, FRB, DFI, and SEC. Collect institutional data and prepare financial reports and surveys to other federal and state government agencies. Assist with the preparation of financial reports to management.</li>
<li>Perform day-to-day general accounting and financial reporting functions and month-end close processes for CPF, CPB and affiliated entities. Prepare accounting entries, maintain accounting records, perform monthly closing accrual calculations, prepare consolidated and stand-alone financial statements, and analyze financial results to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with GAAP. </li>
<li>Continuously evaluate and implement processes that streamline and automate tasks to create efficiencies.</li>
<li>Assist with software conversions and implementation. Participate in special projects in support of the Company’s strategic initiatives to improve performance and enhance shareholder value.</li>
<li>Assist with the quarterly reviews, annual financial statement and benefit plan audits, and periodic examinations by auditors and regulators. Prepare and update proper documentation and internal procedures. </li>
<li>Perform variance analysis, prepare account reconciliations, and assist with research and resolution of accounting issues.</li>

<li>5+ years combination of financial reporting/accounting and/or banking experience required.</li>
</ul>
Licenses and Certifications:
