Proposal Writer / Technical Writer

Salary: $70k-$80k
Position Overview: Along with the rest of the writing team, this role is responsible for pitching and writing episodes for Good Mythical Morning, Good Mythical More, and other ancillary Mythical Entertainment properties. They will work closely with Producers to see their scripts through from initial concept, to beats, art and props, and the actual filming of the episode. This position follows the lead of our Head Writer and reports directly to the EP/Showrunner of Good Mythical Morning. 

Responsibilities:

<li>Pitch episodes for GMM and GMMore on a regular, recurring basis, including but not limited to a monthly meeting with the CEOs and CCO.</li>
<li>Conduct the requisite research for &amp; write approximately 3 - 4 GMM and GMMore episode scripts per slate (monthly). </li>

What is the Primary Objective of the Medical Writer?

Qualifications / Education / Skills and Experience
<ol>
<li>This position requires an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a related field or up to three (3) years of professional experience in writing and editing technical documentation.</li>
<li>Strong technical knowledge of electronics at a level to troubleshoot from schematics and understand functions of standard electronic components.</li>
<li>Experience with content management systems.</li>
<li>Some troubleshooting knowledge preferred. </li>
<li>Knowledge of common image editing tools.</li>
<li>Very good knowledge of common IT tools.</li>
<li>High self-motivation and self-organization.</li>
<li>Strong customer support and interpersonal skills to be able to interface with Field Service Engineers and customers.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate and demonstrate professional conduct with all levels of Management and personnel.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills.</li>
<li>Must possess skills that can assist with cross-functional team building.</li>
<li>Must have strong PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows (knowledge of SAP, Canbus and Motion controllers preferred).</li>
<li>Must be able to work extended hours and/or flexible shifts, as required.</li>

Physical Demands:

<li>While performing duties of this job, individual is regularly required to stand, sit, reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity required. Individual is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls frequently and be able to reach with hand and arms above shoulder level occasionally.</li>
<li>Ability to wear proper cleanroom attire and work inside the fab/cleanroom up to 30% of the time.</li>
