PART-TIME SEASONAL SPORTS LEAGUE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE &amp; PHOTOGRAPHERS - Weekday Afternoon &amp; Evenings and/or Weekends
America’s Best Event Photography, aka ABEP, interacts with coaches, parents and student athletes of multiple sports (football, baseball, soccer, basketball, cheer - just to name a few) to provide an experience that captures the excitement and joy of playing their individual sport. ABEP is currently seeking part-time seasonal team members for positions as Customer Service Representatives and Photographers. These part-time positions are for WEEKDAY EVENINGS (need to be available from 2:00PM-10:00PM) and/or WEEKENDS. We work when the student athletes play their sports.
The job responsibilities include:
· Working closely with photo, digital and Customer Service team members to produce high quality photo products that capture and create memories.
· Ensuring excellent customer service by responding to the expectations, requests and needs of the customer in a timely manner. Requires strong effective communication skills and the ability to listen first.
· Being able to work in a high energy, deadline driven environment. Includes being able to organize with time restraints while maintaining the quality of the work.
· Maintaining a positive attitude toward team members, coaches, parents, and student athletes in challenging and at times, rapidly changing environments.
Previous Customer Service and Photography Experience a Plus.
You must have:
· Reliable transportation/personal vehicle
· Be able to work evenings and weekends
· Be able to work outdoors and stand for hours at a time.
· Be able to lift 25 lbs.

The part-time position is hourly with Photo-Assistants and Customer Service Reps starting at $16/hour while in training. Photographers start at $17/hour.

Reception/Customer Service associate needed for portrait studio. This position is unique to our studio as not only is the position one of the first people to greet customers but also handles customer service and sales when dealing with customers and vendors; administrative work assisting other departments; and helping the photographer on location shoots. Showing customers proofs after sessions, sales and administrative calls are a large part of this position.
Organization and a positive attitude towards doing a good job the first time are expected. We will train the right person on the software and procedures for the position. This position will be 32-40 hours during busy season and 25-30 hours during slow season.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Cultural Arts, Camps, and Seniors, the Cultural Arts Coordinator supports the planning, organization, and execution of theatre and dance programming within the Park District. This position assists in staff coordination, program development, class scheduling, vendor communication, recital and event planning, administrative support, and classroom assistance. The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring high-quality, inclusive programming and a smooth experience for participants of all ages and abilities.
 
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
The ideal candidate will have a passion for cultural arts with experience in dance and theater performance and instruction required. Must be a high school graduate with an associate or bachelors degree preferred. Experience with the coordination of stage productions is highly desired. Administrative experience including strong organization, strong initiative, keen attention to detail, and time management is ideal. Proficient in MS Office or Google, and the Outlook email system for communication. Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with management, staff, vendors, families, and participants. Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, adjust to changing priorities, and address problems quickly and accurately with minimal supervision. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
Essential Functions

<li>A primary schedule of approximately 20 to a maximum of 29 hours per week, typically between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, with flexibility based on dance and theatre events. Any hours exceeding 29 per week must be approved in advance by a supervisor.</li>
<li>Required attendance to provide on-site support to cultural arts and dance instructors during tech week and weekend theatre shows for Autumn/Spring Productions, Dance Recitals and Showcases including handling cash or credit card payments as needed.</li>
<li>Gain knowledge and understanding of Park District policies and procedures and see that they are adhered to at all times. </li>
<li>Assist in the development of an educational syllabus for designated cultural art programming and events based on age and skill level.</li>
<li>Assist Manager of Cultural Arts, Camps, and Seniors with staff management, including recruiting, scheduling, training, and hosting meetings.</li>
<li>Assist Manager of Cultural Arts, Camps, and Seniors by suggesting potential programs, events, and productions as time permits and interest increases. Suggest marketing opportunities to promote interest in our programs.</li>

<li>Assist with organizing and maintaining storage area and inventory of supplies.</li>
<li>Provide input into annual performing arts budget and maintain expenses responsibly within the approved budget.</li>
<li>Submit seasonal performing arts program and schedule proposals to the Manager of Cultural Arts, Camps, and Seniors.</li>
<li>Assist with editing and ensure accuracy in seasonal program guide, ActiveNet, and other marketing materials.</li>
<li>Spearhead the planning and direction of the annual dance recital with the Manager of Cultural Arts, Camps, and Seniors and Dance Academy dance instructors.</li>

<li>Continually improve procedures and methods by pursuing trends geared towards improving customer service, productivity, and program development.</li>
<li>Participate in and assist with student evaluations, observations, and complete progress reports for required sessions.</li>
<li>Meet deadlines and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Be available to substitute teach dance and theater classes, within scope outlined in position agreement. Provide feedback, make corrections, and provide an encouraging environment.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with Manager of Cultural Arts, Camps and Seniors to provide ongoing feedback regarding year-round cultural arts programming and events (student absences, behavior issues, supplies, speakers, and safety issues- room temperature, damaged barres, slippery floors, etc.)</li>
<li>Notify Manager of Cultural Arts, Camps, and Seniors of any suspected cases of child abuse or neglect and receive guidance and directions for reporting.</li>
<li>Expected to be present at recitals and any other dance and theater events, required trainings and staff meetings as requested.</li>
<li>Follow attendance policy, be available for a variety of days/times and be flexible with scheduled hours as much as possible. Be willing to sub when possible to assist other instructors and provide quality programming and little interruption for participants.</li>
<li>Responsible for following all safety rules and guidelines, and for performing all duties in the safest way possible to prevent injury to themselves, other workers and the public.</li>
<li>During the dance recital session held from approximately January to May, assist instructors with selecting and editing music for recital and dance performances, selecting costumes, assisting in measuring dancers, assisting in handing out costumes and provide ongoing feedback and reminders about upcoming dates and requirements. Assist Manager of Cultural Arts, Camps, and Seniors with costume price comparisons and ordering.</li>
</ol>
 
Secondary Functions
<ol>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and management.</li>
<li>Attend various district-wide and departmental staff trainings as they pertain to policies and procedures, safety, or other subjects as appropriate (Customer service, CPR, etc.).</li>
<li>Make suggestions for ordering supplies, class music, dance and theater resources, and/or equipment needs/repairs.</li>
<li>Observe and follow all Park District safety policies and regulations and report any hazardous situations. The safety of staff and participants is a continuing responsibility of all employees.</li>
<li>The District encourages its employees to take pride and ownership of the District. As such, it shall be the responsibility of all Park District employees to pick up litter throughout the buildings, grounds, and facilities of the District.</li>
<li>May be required to work holidays, weekends and other hours based on district needs.</li>

<li>Ability to teach dance terminology, technique and to demonstrate skill and technique in teaching various forms of dance.</li>
<li>Ability to demonstrate knowledge, skill, and technique in teaching various programs related to theater and cultural arts.</li>
<li>Capacity to interact with children and teach them in a fun, interactive way to appreciate and learn the task at hand.</li>
<li>Possess strong computer skills including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and database applications.</li>

About the Role:
We are looking for a Seasonal Operations Manager to lead our Holiday Lights Division during the busy season. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, isn’t afraid of heights, and thrives on making things festive and fun. You’ll be leading a small team (1–2 crew members to start), with the potential to oversee multiple crews (2–3) as the season progresses.
This is a physically active role that includes installing holiday lights, climbing ladders, getting up on roofs, and ensuring each client’s vision is brought to life. While no prior holiday lighting experience is required, you must be organized, able to communicate well with clients, and ready to learn—we’ll provide all the training you need.
Responsibilities:

<li>Lead daily holiday light installation and takedown operations.</li>
<li>Safely work at heights using ladders and roof access.</li>
<li>Organize and manage your crew’s daily assignments.</li>
<li>Conduct brief client walkthroughs to ensure satisfaction.</li>
<li>Maintain a positive, “make it jolly” attitude with both clients and crew.</li>

Qualifications:
