<li>Perform start up, maintenance &amp; troubleshooting of switchgear, ATSs and other electrical control systems.</li>

Providing schematics for the exact design of the controls, basically all wiring on the secondary’s of the PTs, CPTs, breaker secondary contacts, relays, generator control devices, power supplies, PLC’s, networking &amp; communications, annunciation, control switches, etc.
Set up &amp; write the PLC control &amp; redundancy logic, HMI graphics and pages as required to accomplish the desired operations
Become familiar with and apply &amp; program Woodward Generator control devices. Interface to the PLC as required
Become familiar with and apply &amp; program SEL, GE, Schneider, Bender or Basler protective relay devices and interface to the PLC as required
Oversee the construction of the system
Write the specific sequence of operations, factory &amp; field test scripts
Participate in site &amp; construction coordination meetings as required
Run the factory witness test
Field check, test, startup, commissioning, and training as required

Assist in closing documentation requirements

<li>Safely, efficiently &amp; properly perform load bank tests (UPSs, Generators, etc.) and other general and simpler corrective maintenance procedures related to basic switchgear &amp; ATSs.</li>

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
<ul>
<li>BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or an Engineering related degree like Electrical Power Engineering preferred.</li>
<li>Several years related working experience (i.e. experience can be with a major Switchgear Manufacturer or Assembler, Generator Dealer or Distributor, PLC or Controls Manufacturer or Control Systems provider.)</li>
<li>Prior Electrical/Generator hands on controls design and/or field experience is preferred.</li>
<li>AutoCAD and/or Promise E experience for preparation of electrical single lines, schematics, elevations, floor plans, various control systems, mechanical piping systems, etc.</li>
<li>A general understanding of Electrical generation, distribution, conditioning &amp; control systems as well as the control devices commonly utilized with them.</li>
<li>Understanding of and experience with the National Electric Code.</li>
<li>Knowledge of NFPA 70E &amp; OSHA electrical safety regulations.</li>
<li>A basic understanding and/or willing to learn the requirements for setting up IT/server networks as typically utilized within electrical control systems.</li>
<li>A general understanding of the Construction Design-Bid Build &amp; Design-Build processes.</li>
<li>Experience with General Electric and/or Allen Bradley PLC systems and their software.</li>
<li>Experience with Woodward Control devices.</li>

The salary pay range is $97,000 - $135,000/year (up to $175,000/ yr with significant recent and relevant switchgear and power systems engineering experience) plus car allowance and bonus.

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of the department. In addition to the responsibilities below, the Systems Specialist I performs routine technical duties in troubleshooting and repairing components within building automation field cabinets, sensors, and related controls. The location of work for this position will primarily be in the Montgomery area.
