PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:&nbsp; The Extension Associate – Forestry and Invasive Plant position in the Forestry and Natural Resources program will support invasive plant management efforts in the Franklin, Owen, and Henry County region of Kentucky. 
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This position will coordinate the joint efforts of Kentucky State University (KSU), the Frankfort/Franklin County Joint Task Force on Invasives, and related initiatives to improve natural lands in the target region. These efforts include cooperative invasive plant management, tracking invasive plant infestations, training and education events, and pursuit of funding opportunities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Extension Associate Forestry and Invasive Plant

THE POSITION: The Alameda County Water District in Fremont, California is seeking a motivated individual for the Utility Mechanic I position in the Operations &amp; Maintenance Department. As part of the Facilities Maintenance team of skilled trades, the Utility Mechanic series performs a wide range of mechanical maintenance activities for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation work within the District's Water Supply, Production, Treatment and Distribution facilities. The Utility Mechanic series is responsible for pumps and piping systems, valves, chemical storage and feed systems, and various complex mechanical systems and fixed works within facilities. The position utilizes a variety of hand and shop tools, performs fabrication and welding, rigging and complies with industrial safety requirements. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with strong mechanical aptitude, initiative, and able to function well both independently and as part of a team.
Utility Mechanic I is the entry-journey level classification in the Utility Mechanic series. Under close to general supervision, within a framework of established policies and procedures, incumbents perform routine mechanical maintenance work, assist with the more complex maintenance and repair work, and will be subject to standby duty or emergency call outs after satisfactory completion of Probationary period. As experience and proficiency are gained, assignments become more varied and complex. Assignments are given in specific terms and are subject to frequent review by the Systems Maintenance Supervisor and/or Senior Utility Mechanic while in progress and upon completion. There is limited latitude for independent judgement and action in well-defined areas of work.
SALARY: The annual salary ranges for the Utility Mechanic I is $103,309 -$125,572, plus excellent benefits.
Education and Experience - Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent; and Three (3) years of full-time experience in maintenance and repair of water distribution systems, water treatment plants, food processing plants, refineries, or similar facility. Two (2) years of full-time experience as a Utility Worker II at the District can substitute for one year of required experience up to a maximum of two years. 
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- A Distribution Operator (D2) license and/or Treatment Operator (T2) license from the State of
California must be acquired within 18 months.
- Must obtain, and maintain, Service Truck Crane (STC) certification within 12 months of appointment as required by CAL/OSHA and FED/OSHA.

Overview:
Cogeneration plant with gas turbine driven generators providing electricity to lease operations and the grid. &nbsp;Gas turbine units are two LM2500’s. &nbsp;Both units have Power Purchase Agreements in place. &nbsp;In addition to the power generation, waste heat recovery units provide steam to leases for enhanced heavy oil recovery. &nbsp;The Cogeneration Operators are responsible for performing routine operations, inspections and maintenance of all equipment and systems located within the plant.
Positions are considered an intermediate level role working under moderate supervision reporting to the Cogen Foreman.&nbsp;
 Roles &amp; Responsibilities:

<li>Ensure the plant is operated and maintained according to Company policy and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local regulatory requirements; with a strong focus on health, safety and environmental issues.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Responsible for continuous operations of the cogeneration plant by performing equipment rounds, monitoring DCS and responding to alarms by calmly taking appropriate corrective actions.</li>

Job DescriptionSummary The Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the plant. This person will direct the implementation of the Operating Plan and identify those areas which may need improvement or further development to ensure the success of the daily operation of the facility. The Lead Operator will ensure that the facility operates safely and within all environmental and reliability compliance requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: &nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Promote and provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors, and visitors, including the adherence to and effective use of various personal protective equipment, programs, policies and procedures as developed and required by the company. </li>
<li>Direct, Coach and Develop Plant Operators to meet dispatch outputs of the highest value to the company, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.</li>

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance &amp; Repair

<li> Diagnose and repair malfunctions in plant-wide electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and mechanical systems. </li>
<li> Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant systems, including Siemens T3000 hardware/software. </li>

The Scrubgrass Generating Plant is located in Kennerdell, Venango County, Pennsylvania. The facility is designed to convert the bituminous mining refuse (GOB) left over from decades of coal mining in the region into energy. Employing state-of-the art circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler technology, the facility is able to efficiently burn low BTU refuse in an environmentally safe and beneficial manner. Scrubgrass produces approximately 85 megawatts of electricity-enough for about 80,000 homes. GENERAL SUMMARY The primary role of the Control Room Operator is to operate the plant from the distributed control system while ensuring that all plant equipment is operated within design parameters. Monitors plant operations, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance. Monitor the operations of emissions control equipment and adjust to meet State and Federal permits. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Monitors and Evaluates plant status and adjusts plant processes, as necessary, to maintain the efficient operation of the facility. Coordinates plant operations with dispatchers. Performs start-up, shutdown and emergency procedures, as necessary, for safe equipment operation. Complies with all Safety, Environmental &amp; FERC/NERC/RFC regulations, ensuring that safe operating practices are followed. Performs functional testing of plant systems and components. Interprets acceptability of data in comparison with established standards of sound power plant practices. We are excited to be searching for a Power Plant Shift Supervisor/Generation Dispatcher at our Nikiski Facility. This is a rotating work schedule with one week on and one week off with alternating day shift one week and night shift the next work week. The week-long shift is divided into two work weeks. These are twelve (12) hour shifts that start on Wednesday through the following Tuesday. The successful candidate must recognize the responsibility of the cooperative to its members to provide continuity of service which may require working additional hours on a scheduled or unscheduled basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
