PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:&nbsp; The Extension Associate – Forestry and Invasive Plant position in the Forestry and Natural Resources program will support invasive plant management efforts in the Franklin, Owen, and Henry County region of Kentucky. 
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This position will coordinate the joint efforts of Kentucky State University (KSU), the Frankfort/Franklin County Joint Task Force on Invasives, and related initiatives to improve natural lands in the target region. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and works within the policies, procedures, and limits established by plant management.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance &amp; Repair

<li> Diagnose and repair malfunctions in plant-wide electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and mechanical systems. </li>
<li> Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant systems, including Siemens T3000 hardware/software. </li>

Seasonal Contract position supporting the National Science Foundation managed United States Antarctic Program as part of the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC). Power Plant Electricians will perform electrical maintenance or construction work, or any combination thereof, under the supervision of the Electrician Foreman, PM Coordinator, or Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Tasking is based on employee’s prior work experience and ASC schedule requirements.
 
Position Responsibilities (not all inclusive):
• Maintains a safe workplace program and ensures that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. • Complies with all ASC Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH), Waste Management and Quality Assurance requirements, goals, policies and procedures. We are excited to be searching for a Power Plant Shift Supervisor at our Nikiski Facility. This is a rotating work schedule with one week on and one week off with alternating day shift one week and night shift the next work week. The week-long shift is divided into two work weeks. These are twelve (12) hour shifts that start on Wednesday through the following Tuesday. The successful candidate must recognize the responsibility of the cooperative to its members to provide continuity of service which may require working additional hours on a scheduled or unscheduled basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

GENERAL SUMMARY The primary role of the Control Room Operator is to operate the plant from the distributed control system while ensuring that all plant equipment is operated within design parameters. Monitors plant operations, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance. Monitor the operations of emissions control equipment and adjust to meet State and Federal permits. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Monitors and Evaluates plant status and adjusts plant processes, as necessary, to maintain the efficient operation of the facility. Coordinates plant operations with dispatchers. Performs start-up, shutdown and emergency procedures, as necessary, for safe equipment operation. Accountable for communicating plant conditions to plant technicians and team with them to maintain optimum plant performance. Communicates with and represents the Company in its relations and communications with contractors and other non-Company personnel. Qualifies to perform station lockout/tagout procedures within policy. Monitors Continuous Emissions Monitoring System, (CEMS), and Distributed Control System (DCS) and takes appropriate action. Possesses the skills and knowledge to conduct job position and situational training, as well as safety meetings and tailgate meetings with the subordinates. Performs duties of Shift Supervisor when needed. Performs all other duties as assigned. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Requires knowledge of own assignments and eventually others in the department, as well as, that of company structure and operations. Should possess an understanding of the departmental goals and activities. Perform other duties as required by plant conditions. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS The Control Room Operator reports to the Shift Supervisor and provides work direction to the O&amp;M Technicians and Assistant Plant Operators. The Control Room Operator may also give direction to maintenance personnel on matters pertaining to plant operations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Physical requirements include: working on feet for 12 hour periods, requiring stair and ladder climbing; and routinely lifting 50 pounds. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment, etc.). Work with hazardous materials may be required. Position requires extended working hours and varied shifts with weekend and holiday work, as required by schedules, work load and plant conditions. "On call" status will periodically be required. All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. Primary Objective: The loading of ETOH rail cars, DDGS cars and trucks as well as ground maintenance and various support tasks. Obtaining a Conductor/Engineer license with the Iowa River Railroad for the movement of rail cars to and from the Ackley siding.
Major Accountabilities:
