Position Summary
The Finance Manger is a full-time position responsible forimplementing the day-to-day financial operations of Texas Parks andWildlife Foundation (TPWF). The Finance Manager will lead thepreparation of budgets, approve daily accounting processes, andmanage banking vendor relationships.  The Finance Manger willwork closely with the Bookkeeper part-time Controller. Thisposition reports to the Operations Director.
Primary Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Lead preparation of the Foundation’s annual operating budgetand continuously monitor through timely and insightful financialreports.</li>
<li>Provide accounting reports for Development, Program Directors,and Executive Director on a monthly and as-needed basis.</li>
<li>Prepare all financial reports for the Board of Trustees.</li>
<li>Maintain Accounting Policy and Procedures Manual and ensureeffective controls and records.</li>
<li>Lead Form-990 filing, working with the Controller and externalCPA firm.</li>
<li>Prepare annual sales tax filing and approve 1099s prepared byBookkeeper.</li>
<li>Lead Annual Audit with support from Controller andBookkeeper</li>
<li>Approve quarterly administrative fees prepared by theController.</li>
<li>Ensure all income and expenses are coded correctly within thefinancial accounting software and according to GAAP standards.</li>
<li>Review and approve daily contribution report, monthlyreconciliations and reports, and journal entries.</li>
<li>Prepare endowment and fund reporting for donorstewardship.</li>
<li>Work with Chase Bank on annual account review, fees, andgeneral support.</li>
<li>Manage cash balances between Chase Bank and NorthernTrust.</li>
<li>Prepare agency account reconciliations for review by Controllerand Director of Investments and Conservation Finance.</li>
<li>Other duties as required.</li>
</ul>
 Preferred background and skills
<ul>
<li>Minimum three years’ experience in finance and budgetmanagement in the non-profit sector.</li>
<li>Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards for non-profits.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.</li>
<li>Experience working with databases and financial accountingsystems; Financial Edge a plus.</li>
<li>A strong work ethic, sense of urgency, self-motivation, andintegrity.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to thinkindependently.</li>

Position

Good News Outreach (GNO) is a faith-based nonprofit agency dedicated to relieving physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual suffering to those within our surrounding community. We accomplish this mission through programs focused on food service, elder care, society re-entry, and affordable housing.
The Executive Director (ED) of Good News Outreach is a highly skilled nonprofit professional that provides leadership, vision, and direction to the Board of Directors (BOD) and the broader Good News Outreach organization. The ED represents the organization to the public, leads organizational development and strategic planning, optimizes financial performance, oversees program delivery, and builds donor relationships. Requirements
The Good News Outreach ED must possess a passion for, and commitment to, helping people move towards independence and self-sufficiency. 
The ED reports to the Good News Outreach BOD. The ED is responsible for accomplishing the Good News Outreach mission. The job responsibilities include developing and implementing the overall strategy and vision and working through the DoO on all organizational and operational aspects of Good News Outreach including its administration, financial operations, revenue generation, program development and activities, and strategic planning. Some of the key responsibilities falling within these areas include:
ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT:
· Developing and fostering a strong and open relationship with the BOD by:
o Keeping the BOD informed of staff changes, donor details, fundraising campaign details, programmatic changes, and areas where the staff feels help is needed
o Relaying staff and volunteer engagement ideas, as well as concerns that need to be considered by the BOD
o Planning and preparing information for BOD meetings in coordination with the BOD Chair
· Attracting, developing, and retaining staff and volunteers

· Planning and implementing the direction of all programs, in coordination with the BOD and DoO

QUALIFICATIONS:

Build and maintain relationships with key constituents to ensure mutual strategic support that advances KIPP KC and the broader education community

<li>Serve as the public face of KIPP KC;</li>
<li>Build coalitions, relationships, and partnerships with key stakeholders, including the board of directors, parents, donors, community members, political organizations, and the state department of education, in support of the organization's mission and goals; engage and manage relationships with elected officials and public sector partners to support the advancement of KIPP KC as a key partner in the region's educational system in the region; and</li>
<li>Demonstrate leadership as a member of KIPP's national network by fully engaging as a member of the KIPP Executive Director community; ensure key regional constituents are kept fully informed on key developments and national KIPP initiatives.</li>

Qualifications
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Required
<ul>
<li>Experience as a senior leader in the education sector  working with children from low-income backgrounds to achieve exceptional academic results, sports, the arts, community service, etc.</li>
<li>A proven track record of success in building and/or managing a complex organization or enterprise (e.g., a high-performing school or network of schools, a successful non-profit or for-profit organization)</li>
<li>Experience working with stakeholders, staff students and community members of color </li>
<li>A proven track record of leading equitably and inclusively with an understanding of how to build a strong student and adult culture</li>
<li>Experience leading teams through periods of change management </li>
</ul>
 Highly Preferred
<ul>
<li>Experience leading a high-performing school serving children from low-income communities </li>
<li>Experience inspiring and influencing diverse stakeholders toward a shared vision and unified goals</li>
<li>Currently resides or has familiarity with Kansas City, including the political, educational, and philanthropic landscape</li>
<li>Experience raising funds from a variety of revenue sources</li>
<li>Experience working with board management </li>
