Key functions of the Office of Human Subject Projection (OHSP) under the AVP-HSP’s responsibility include <a href="https://www.rochester.edu/ohsp/rsrb/index.html" target="_blank">Research Subject Review Board</a> (RSRB), <a href="https://www.rochester.edu/ohsp/education/index.html" target="_blank">Research Education and Training</a>, and <a href="https://www.rochester.edu/ohsp/quality/index.html" target="_blank">Research Quality Improvement</a>. At any given time, there are more than 2,000 active research studies being conducted by approximately 3,000 investigators, across more than 100 departments, centers, and labs at the University and University of Rochester Medical Center. The AVP-HSP must be a highly visible member of the University community and continuously engaged with University stakeholders, communicating and demonstrating OHSP’s commitment to being a collaborative partner with departments and divisions across the institution. The AVP-HSP ensures that the 14-member OHSP team is likewise knowledgeable, skilled, trained, and engaged in serving the good of the broader University community in thoughtful, thorough, and objective engagements.
The AVP will have well-developed and tested leadership and collaboration qualities, extensive research compliance expertise, and experience working with clinical, translational, and behavioral researchers. They will have the highest level of integrity and will demonstrate a track record of developing, mentoring, and supporting diverse and high-functioning teams.
Viable candidates will have at least 10 years of directly relevant experience, including in positions in which they had supervisory responsibility. If they are not coming from a peer academic or medical institution, they will demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and will have relevant research leadership experience with large, matrixed, and highly complicated organizations. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree in a field that entails working with human subjects and Certified IRB Professional designation are preferred.

Position Summary The Chief of Staff is a member of the President's Cabinet, reporting directly to the President. As the principal aide to the President, the Chief of Staff coordinates all presidential office operations and activities in support of institutional priorities and supports the President and Board of Directors. The Associate Director of Industry Relations will report directly to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Corporate and Foundation Relations. The position also works closely with and takes some direction from the Engineering Research Center Director of the Carbon Utilization Redesign for Biomanufacturing-Empowered Decarbonization (CURB) and McKelvey’s Director of Industry Relations. The Associate Director of Industry Relations will advance an innovation ecosystem that optimizes industry engagement in the university’s research endeavors with a primary focus on the needs of industry engagement for CURB. Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities:

Position Summary The Leaves Operations Specialist reports to the Associate Director of Benefits and serves as a key member of the medical leaves department within University Human Resources. This role serves as the point of contact for the execution and review of medical leave transactions and processes and will work directly with employees, unit administrators and the payroll department. The Leaves Operations Specialist position requires the ability to create, maintain, and clearly communicate efficient processes, including the best practices for leaves transactions. Responsibilities will include conducting and compiling research, preparing reports or correspondence, compiling data and completing reviews, updating resources, and other related tasks as needed. This position may perform functions of other leaves team members as a backup. This position assists and acts in a confidential capacity to the Associate Director of Benefits and leaves staff. The position is based in Eugene with some level of flexibility, including the option to work remotely with frequent commuting to campus. All adjusted work arrangements require supervisor and leadership approval. Minimum Requirements 
<li> Two years' experience in leaves administration, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li>
<li> Experience in data analysis and reconciliation, including creating and maintaining reports. Professional Competencies </li>

Water Plant Operator Valley Water Salary: $109,865.60 - $140,712.00 Annually Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: 01886-E Location: CA, CA Department: Treated Water Closing: 5/4/2025 11:59 PM Pacific Description Overview: The Water Plant Operator will perform the duties of a state-designated shift operator in the monitoring and operation of a water treatment plant, to provide relief operations shift coverage and, as necessary, to perform the duties of an Assistant Water Plant Operator. The Water Plant Operator will use the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to monitor and control plant operations. They will analyze data to ensure compliance with all State and Federal drinking water standards and perform administrative procedures. The Water Plant Operator will train and sign-off training checklists for lower-level operations staff. They will perform scheduled and emergency plant shutdowns and start-ups. Additionally, they will complete safety trainings and follow safety protocols. Please note that this position is based at our Penitencia Water Treatment Plant. <li>Perform various administrative tasks such as data entry into spreadsheets and database programs, initiate and follow up on work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance; create and revise standard operating procedures; order chemicals; maintain, compile, and review plant operations data; complete entries into the plant's log book.</li>
<li>Serve in the role of Relief Operator on as needed/rotational basis.</li>
