Position Description
As a Safety Specialist you will work with the safety team to monitor safety programs as well as identify potential hazards and ensure the enforcement of policies to mitigate risks. You will assist in safety audits and coordinate emergency response plans safeguarding compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations. Education and Experience

Strong knowledge of safety best practices, familiarity with relevant regulations, excellent computer skills, and effective communication abilities are essential. <li>Actively participate in monthly North America HSE performance reviews and in weekly HSE Operational performance reviews with Regional and Business HSE professionals</li>
<li>Generate HSE performance reports, conduct data analysis  on HSE performance trends across the larger Global Veg and Flowers R&amp;D business and review key learnings with Global LT designee on a monthly basis.</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>A four-year technical degree required .</li>
<li>7-10 years of HSE job experience considered critical, operations experience preferred.</li>
<li>Course work and/or certifications in safety, health, or environmental issues and experience with regulatory matters.</li>
<li>Practical Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) regulations, e.g. OSHA, NFPA, EPA, DOT.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret legislation as it applies to agri-business.</li>
<li>Experience with building a string safety culture and</li>
<li>Ability to organize and conduct a site HSE audits, conduct risk analysis of HSE issues, and deploy HSE solutions across a territory.</li>
