Job Summary: The Training Supervisor is responsible for the initial and ongoing training of all new hires and current staff. They must be able to coordinate training for all staff so they are prepared to execute friendly and enthusiastic service to a section of about 30 guests while maintaining our quality service standards. During this time they must provide the ultimate experience in Hospitality and Entertainment while maintaining proper cost controls. All employee manuals, agendas, work books, tests, and handouts must be maintained by this position as well.
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:

<li>Staff Management
<ul>
<li>Schedule all training and follow shifts</li>
<li>Check in with all new hires to assist with onboarding and integration, answer questions and help solve any problems</li>
<li>Help to create training quizzes and tests for all new hires as well as current serving staff</li>
<li>Work as a supervisor on cruises where new staff is training to lend a helping hand and ensure the training standards are being executed and that all staff is adhering to our quality standards</li>
<li>Keep all staff motivated throughout training</li>
<li>Be an active and enthusiastic participant utilizing the Our Service System (OSS) standards and practices</li>
<li>Develop positive working relationships with city department heads and peers</li>
<li>Develop strong teamwork within the staff</li>
<li>Assist with development and execution of employee incentive programs</li>

<li>Cruise Execution
<ul>
<li>Assist with managing the FOH staff, including recruitment, training, coaching/discipline, and retention of assigned vessel</li>
<li>Ensure that staff is trained and consistently follows and adheres to proper alcohol service guidelines, thereby ensuring the safety of each guest</li>
<li>Ensure that all staff consistently follows and adheres to all health department sanitation codes and requirements, thereby maintaining the Company's strict standards of sanitation</li>
<li>Observe and recommend line-staff that may require further training and development to ensure proper and effective service</li>
<li>Recommend approved programs that improve the level of service and product quality</li>

<li>Meet with individuals on a weekly basis to provide therapy; may also provide case management, group therapy, and/or skills training as determined by the Individualized Service Plan. Provide crisis stabilization when necessary.</li>
<li>Oversee and coordinate daily functioning and activity programs with residents on the unit including outings with Qualified Mental Health Associates (QMHA) and PBNC staff. Facilitate daily huddles with QMHAs and Nursing Staff to identify priorities.</li>
<li>Coordinate and facilitate weekly IDT (Inter-Disciplinary Team) meetings to review treatment progress of residents, as required by OARs. All residents have to be reviewed monthly. Complete Transition Tool quarterly for each resident. Record notes for dissemination for all participants.</li>
<li>Facilitate Learning Circles (MH training for PBNC staff) with Supervisor, QMHAs, and/or Older Adult Behavioral Health Coordinator. Frequency will be determined by needs of unit, at minimum quarterly. Attend Focus Meetings (facilitated by PBNC) as necessary.</li>
<li>Determine, with consultation with Supervisor and Prescriber (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatrist), appropriateness of continued enrollment in ECS.</li>
<li>Coordinate discharge planning with NorthWest Seniors and Disability Services (NWSDS) Case Manager (CM) and Providence Benedictine Nursing Care staff. Identify MH needs to be addressed at future placements; relay MH, Neurocognitive, and Physical Health needs to NWSDS CM. (Physical Health and Neurocognitive needs will be identified by PBNC and other appropriate entities.)</li>
<li>Assist in screening residents for discharge. Explore placement options identified by NWSDS CM and review with treatment team, resident, and legal representative.</li>
<li>For all of the above, complete clinical documentation professionally and accurately in a timely manner as directed by Marion County HHS policy. Submit paperwork to OHA/HSD or other entities as required. Maintain accurate and comprehensive MH charts. If necessary, transports charts following HIPAA regulations to support staff at Marion County ABH.</li>
<li>Submit Monthly Census to OHA/DHS.</li>

Enhanced Care Outreach Services
<ul>
<li>Review referrals with OHA/DHS (Oregon Health Authority/Oregon Department of Human Services), and other stakeholders. Typical Duties - Duties include, but are not limited to the following

<li>Provides Mental Health Assessments and Child &amp; Adolescent Needs &amp; Strengths (CANS) screenings for children entering protective custody. Provides annual CANS screenings for children in protective custody.</li>
<li>Provides individual, family and group therapy services. Completes intake mental health assessments, including screening for alcohol and drug issues. Completes and updates an individual service plan. Obtains and maintains competence in all screening and assessment tools required by the county. Provides case management and outreach services to clients. Assists clients and families with developing skills to access community supports/resources and to advocate for themselves. Assists with making referrals for services.</li>
<li>Provides level of care determinations and eligibility reviews for youth being referred to the Wraparound Program. Presents cases at the System of Care Review Committee, which include eligibility recommendations.</li>
<li>Participates in individual service plan development in collaboration with the treatment team and other community providers. Ensures the collaborative development, periodic review and revision of an individual service plan. Provides service coordination to assist families in accessing formal and informal supports and services; facilitating communication between the family, natural supports, community resources, and involved child-serving providers and agencies; participates in team meetings at which strengths and needs are identified and safety planning occurs; and provides for continuity of care by creating linkages to, and managing transitions between levels of care, and transitions of older youth to the adult service system.</li>
<li>Completes required documentation and documents services to meet contract, administrative rule, and billing requirements and maintains acceptable level of productivity for these requirements. Expectation is that employee will strive for 60% of work hours on average to be billable hours with a minimum of 50% billable hours on average each month.</li>
<li>Provides consultation, training, &amp; orientation regarding mental health and co-occurring disorders treatment to team members, student interns, and other professionals.</li>
<li>Develops a proactive safety/crisis plan; ensures intervention to meet safety needs of children.</li>
<li>Attends treatment reviews and discharge planning staffings at hospitals, residential centers and day treatment programs to develop discharge/transition plans for the return of the child to the community.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.</li>

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
<li>Possession of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy or a behavioral science field, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon; OR second year graduate students waivered as QMHP's by the Oregon Health Authority.</li>
<li>Mental Health Therapist 2 Only: In addition to the educational requirements above, the Mental Health Therapist 2 must have at least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field.</li>
PREFERENCES Preference will be awarded to candidates who are LCSW, CSWA or eligible for LCSW. Qualified candidates will be eligible for licensure supervision if hired.
AUTO-PROMOTE AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF CLASSIFICATION Individuals hired as a Mental Health Specialist 1 will auto-promote, as noted in Article 4 in the Marion County personnel rules, to the classification of Mental Health Specialist 2 upon satisfactorily completing one-year, post master's degree, of service as a Mental Health Specialist 1. (One-year of work experience is equal to 2080 hours).

The incumbent in this position upholds confidentiality rules/regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Services may be delivered in person or via telehealth; services may be delivered in the following locations, but not limited to office or in the community including settings necessary to deliver addiction counseling services (e.g., PCC, schools, hospitals, jail, courtroom, residences including transitional treatment bed). The incumbent performs all of the following using a person-centered, strengths-based, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and ethically guided approach. This position is stationed and dispatched from the Psychiatric Crisis Center.

<li>Respond to 9-8-8 calls and provide mental health consultation to individuals in the community. Provide triage, brief assessment, consultation, and referrals to the residents engaged by the program as needed.</li>

Presenting problems covering the full range of personal needs and include thoughts/plans or violence toward others, and major psychiatric illness. Because of the wide spectrum of presenting problems, it is necessary to have a comprehensive knowledge of psychopathology and to be able to draw upon a wide range of therapeutic strategies in counseling. Perform independent assessment of mental status, diagnosis, level of functioning, dangerousness, and specific needs for service. Screen individual for psychiatric hospitalization. Develop plan with client/family to address immediate needs and plans to obtain services. If client is unwilling to seek services, make decisions regarding involuntary hospitalization based on dangerousness and ability to care for self. Maintain current knowledge of, and contact with, community agencies to make referrals appropriately.</li>
