The Crisis Clinician 2 for the Community Response Team is a non-law enforcement position that will respond to 9-8-8 calls and provide mental health consultation to individuals and families in the community who need some extra support. The position provides triage, brief assessment, consultation, and referrals to community supports. Typical Work Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m., with flexibility depending upon the needs of the department and program. We offer the following recruitment bonus, prorated based on FTE:

The primary responsibility of this class is to provide assessment and treatment services, crisis intervention, and treatment services, including intensive services, to individuals and their families with complex needs and diagnoses or to develop and implement specific services in the community. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Work under a supervisor who assigns work establishes goals and reviews the results for overall effectiveness. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Primary supervision of employees is not a responsibility of this classification; however, positions may act as lead workers as defined in the Marion County Personnel Rules. Typical Duties - Duties include, but are not limited to the following The incumbent in this position upholds confidentiality rules/regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Services may be delivered in person or via telehealth; services may be delivered in the following locations, but not limited to office or in the community including settings necessary to deliver addiction counseling services (e.g., PCC, schools, hospitals, jail, courtroom, residences including transitional treatment bed). The incumbent performs all of the following using a person-centered, strengths-based, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and ethically guided approach. This position is stationed and dispatched from the Psychiatric Crisis Center.

<li>Respond to 9-8-8 calls and provide mental health consultation to individuals in the community. Provide triage, brief assessment, consultation, and referrals to the residents engaged by the program as needed. </li>
<li>Document services in a timely fashion meeting all standards and expectations per MCHHS policies. </li>
<li>Answer phones by being logged into Touchpoint at all times </li>
<li>Provide follow up case management to residents that were engaged in the community with their partner or refer to the Navigators. </li>
<li>Provide back up to PCC as needed to include answering phones by logging into Touchpoint and conducting mental health assessments. Provide counseling by telephone or in-person to individuals and/or their families or concerned others. Intervene with both children and adults. Presenting problems covering the full range of personal needs and include thoughts/plans or violence toward others, and major psychiatric illness. Because of the wide spectrum of presenting problems, it is necessary to have a comprehensive knowledge of psychopathology and to be able to draw upon a wide range of therapeutic strategies in counseling. Perform independent assessment of mental status, diagnosis, level of functioning, dangerousness, and specific needs for service. Screen individual for psychiatric hospitalization. Develop plan with client/family to address immediate needs and plans to obtain services. If client is unwilling to seek services, make decisions regarding involuntary hospitalization based on dangerousness and ability to care for self. Maintain current knowledge of, and contact with, community agencies to make referrals appropriately. </li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li>
</ul>
Response Level 2: In the event of an emergency, employee makes a reasonable effort to report to work. Employee may be required to perform duties outside of their regularly assigned duties. Employee may be requested to work an extended or flexible schedule. Staff at this response level must complete Incident Command System 100 and 700 on-line or in-person training. Requirements for the Position EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING 
<li>Master's degree in psychology, social work, recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy or a behavioral science field; OR</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in nursing, or occupational therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon; AND</li>
<li>One year of postgraduate degree experience in the behavioral health field.</li>
PREFERENCES Preference will be awarded to candidates who are LCSW, CSWA or eligible for LCSW. Qualified candidates will be eligible for licensure supervision if hired. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

<li>Must be either 1) licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, 2) licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers or 3) credentialed or registered through the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon (MHACBO) as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) within the first 30 days of employment. </li>
