Key Responsibilities:

<li>1. Boilermaker
<ul>
<li>Assemble, install, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and closed vats.</li>
<li>Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine layouts and assembly sequences.</li>
<li>Use welding, bolting, and riveting techniques to join and fabricate components.</li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of boiler systems.</li>
<li>Test systems for leaks and efficiency. </li>

<li>2. Grouping Fitters
<ul>
<li>Lay out, assemble, and install piping systems for steam, gas, and other boiler-related systems.</li>
<li>Interpret pipe layout plans, blueprints, and specifications.</li>
<li>Fit and fabricate piping materials using hand and power tools.</li>
<li>Align pipes and secure fittings through welding or other appropriate methods.</li>
<li>Perform pressure tests to ensure system integrity. </li>

<li>3. Riggers
<ul>
<li>Use hoists, cranes, and other lifting equipment to position heavy boiler components.</li>
<li>Inspect rigging equipment to ensure safety and proper operation.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the ironworking and boilermaker teams to lift and install large parts in confined spaces.</li>
<li>Signal crane operators and guide loads during movement.</li>
<li>Maintain safe rigging practices in accordance with OSHA regulations. </li>

<li>4. Ironworkers
<ul>
<li>Erect, install, and repair structural steel frameworks used in boilers, vats, and large industrial vessels.</li>
<li>Bolt and weld structural elements together to form the framework for boilers and tanks.</li>
<li>Interpret blueprints and work closely with rigging teams to ensure the proper installation of iron components.</li>
<li>Perform finishing tasks such as cutting, grinding, and painting steel structures to protect against corrosion.</li>
<li>Ensure all ironwork is completed to code and meets safety standards. </li>
</ul>

<li>5. Journeyman-Level Expertise
<ul>
<li>Apply expert-level knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and repair of boilers, tanks, and vessels.</li>
<li>Work independently or lead a team in large-scale boilermaking projects.</li>
<li>Use precision tools and measuring instruments to align and fit large components.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and repair complex systems, ensuring they meet industry standards for safety and performance.</li>
<li>Mentor apprentices and less experienced team members</li>

Education:

<li>High School Diploma or GED preferred.</li>
</ul>

Experience:
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in boilermaking, fitting, rigging, ironwork, or related journeyman-level skills.</li>
<li>Journeyman certification or equivalent trade experience is required.</li>
<li>Boilermaker certification or trade school diploma is a plus</li>
<li>Specialized certifications in welding, rigging, or fitting (AWS, NCCCO, etc.) is a plus</li>

<li>Successfully manipulate safety controls and adjust controls on equipment to regulate pressure and amount of abrasive blast</li>

<li>Perform service and maintenance</li>

Boilermaker/Welder Structural Supervisor
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker/Welder Structural Supervisor with strong NAVSEA experience to oversee structural maintenance and repairs aboard NAVSEA vessels. The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience, extensive knowledge of ship structural systems, welding proficiency, and the ability to conduct thorough Initial Compartment Inspections (ICI) at the start of drydock periods, identifying, documenting, and annotating structural damage and repair needs.
Responsibilities:

<li>Lead and supervise structural repair teams consisting of boilermakers, welders, and shipfitters.</li>
<li>Conduct and oversee Initial Compartment Inspections (ICI) during vessel drydocking, documenting structural conditions, corrosion, damage, and required repairs.</li>
<li>Clearly annotate and communicate inspection findings to management, QA teams, and production personnel.</li>
