The Store Team Leader is responsible for providing customers with a unique shopping experience by utilizing the G.U.E.S.T. service approach. The Store Team Leader responsibilities also include building and inspiring high-performing teams who achieve sales goals, managing payroll, training staff in all areas of the store, executing and maintaining visual presentation standards, maintaining operational efficiencies, and holding the team accountable for upholding The Paper Store mission statement, standards, and policies. 
The Store Team Leader reports directly to the District Manager.

Position Summary:
This position calls for people who are adept at both assisting customers and leading a diverse team of individuals. In the role of Team Leader, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of the store's operation—a responsibility you'll prepare for through a training sequence that teaches you the company in-store retail information system, inventory management and ordering technology.

Position Summary:
This position calls for people who are adept at both assisting customers and leading a diverse team of individuals. In the role of Team Leader, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of the store's operation—a responsibility you'll prepare for through a training sequence that teaches you the company in-store retail information system, inventory management and ordering technology.
 
You will be tasked with handling daily paperwork, troubleshooting car wash issues and other gas pump related issues. This leadership role will also include forecasting, ordering, stocking, and merchandising products, reconciling store paperwork, setting the tone for courteous customer service, and managing the store staff.

Below is a general outline of some of the roles and responsibilities expected of our Team Leaders (this list is not all inclusive):
 
Primary Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Train and coach new staff, manage performance, and handle staffing needs</li>
<li>Create schedules, track time, and ensure accurate store paperwork reconciliation</li>
<li>Stock products, maintain store cleanliness, and manage product merchandising</li>
<li>Forecast, order, and control inventory, with a focus on shrinkage control</li>
<li>Track and manage operating expenses to ensure profitability</li>
<li>Develop a sales-driven culture using data analysis, goal setting, and in-store operating profit management</li>
<li>Ensure efficient, courteous customer service for customers, vendors, and staff</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and resolve car wash and gas-related issues</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and budget requirements</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, customer-friendly environment inside and outside the store</li>
<li>Perform additional duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
 
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent required</li>
<li>Six to nine months’ experience as an assistant manager, manager, or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
<li>Strong mathematics ability</li>
<li>Strong written and oral communication skills</li>
<li>Desire to be part of a performance-driven team</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license and insurance</li>
<li>Reliable form of transportation to and from the workplace and off-site training</li>
</ul>
Employee Incentives:

<li>Employees that are with us for 6 months to 3 years = 0.10 cents off a gallon of fuel</li>
<li>Employees that are with us for 3 years to 5 years = 0.30 cents off a gallon of fuel</li>
<li>Employees that are with us for 5+ years = 0.40 cents off a gallon of fuel</li>
<li>MAXIMUM 20 GALLONS AND 2 FILL UPS PER WEEK</li>

Physical Requirements:
The Team Leader position requires constant standing, bending and reaching with a moderate amount of manual dexterity. Frequent lifting of 1 to 5 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 40-50 pounds are required.
 
Additional Requirements:

<li>Must be 21+ years of age</li>
<li>Must be able to work various shifts and days of the week depending on business needs</li>
