The Opportunity
The Chief, Division of Hematology/Oncology is the academic, clinical, and administrative leader of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at SUNY Upstate. Society for the Humanities Fellowships
The Society for the Humanities at Cornell University invites applications for residential fellowships from scholars and artists whose projects reflect on the 2024-25 theme of Silence. Up to six fellows will be appointed. The fellowships are held for one year (August through July). Each Society Fellow will receive $60,000.
Fellows include scholars and practitioners from other universities and members of the Cornell faculty released from regular duties. Fellows at the Society for the Humanities are “residential,” and will collaborate with one another and the Taylor Family Director of the Society for the Humanities, Paul Fleming, L. Sanford and Jo Mills Reis Professor of Humanities and professor of comparative literature and German studies. Fellows spend their time in research and writing during the residential fellowship, and are required to participate in a weekly Fellows Seminar workshopping each other’s projects and discussing readings based on the yearly theme.
The nature of this fellowship year is social and communal—fellows forge connections outside the classroom and the lecture hall by sharing meals following the weekly seminar and attending post-lecture receptions and other casual events throughout the year. Fellows live and work in Ithaca, NY, and are expected to be in their offices on campus frequently. All applicants for Society Fellowships should share in this commitment to creating a supportive and intellectually stimulating community.
Fellows teach one small seminar during their fellowship year appropriate for graduate students and advanced undergraduates. Though courses are designed to fit the focal theme, there are no additional restrictions on what or how the course should be taught. Fellows are encouraged to experiment with both the content and the method of their seminar particularly as it relates to their current research.
Qualifications
Fellows should be working on topics related to the 2024-25 focal theme of “Silence.” Their approach to the humanities should be broad enough to appeal to students and scholars in several humanistic disciplines. Applicants must have received the Ph.D. degree before January 1, 2023. The Society for the Humanities will not consider applications from scholars who received the Ph.D. after this date. Applicants must also have one or more years of teaching experience, which may include teaching as a graduate student. International scholars are welcome to apply, contingent upon visa eligibility.

The incumbent will work under the overall supervision of the Vice-President (Academic Affairs), and functionally under the Head of Port Management. As a faculty member at the World Maritime University, the Assistant Professor is expected to provide teaching/mentoring and research and publication and promote inter-university cooperation in areas related to maritime economics and management.
The Assistant Professor of Maritime Economics and Management is expected to contribute to the overall efforts of WMU to strengthen the economics component in its academic programmes. This position is therefore open to candidates with a wide range of interests and expertise in economic and management matters related to shipping and port operations and management. Areas of focus of potential candidates for this position may include, among others, maritime economics, business, and management.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor of Maritime Economics and Management is expected, under the supervision of the Vice-President (Academic Affairs) and functionally under the Head of Port Management, to be engaged in:

Assistant Professor, Maritime Economics and Management 

The Department of Celtic Languages and Literatures, Harvard University, seeks to appoint a tenured professor. Candidates must have command of Middle and Modern Welsh. Administrative leadership at Maybeck is unique in this way. Maybeck was founded as a school run by teachers and this is still true today. To this end, Maybeck’s School Director must have a broad-minded definition of servant leadership, with sincere intention and demonstration of placing the group before the individual.
The Position and Strategic Priorities
In partnership with the staff, the Director will guide the school community both in everyday planning and long-term strategic direction, including helping to develop the next strategic plan. The Director is the outward facing spokesperson for the school, and as such, will provide persuasive and transparent communication that faithfully represents Maybeck’s culture and its core values. School Director (Head of School)

The initial cutoff date for referral is 8/3/2023. Applicants applying by the initial cutoff date will be given first consideration. Serves as a Russian language teacher at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) located on the Presidio of Monterey in Monterey, CA. DLIFLC offers intensive foreign language instruction in fourteen languages and dialects languages on a schedule that extends throughout the year. Courses are taught six hours per day, five days a week with the exception of federal holidays. Assistant Professor of Chinese: Chinese Mandarin Language and Culture Instructor

Job Summary
The Purdue University College of Pharmacy is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice. The Department is composed of dynamic faculty with diverse scholarly and engagement interests that include clinical practice, clinical sciences, public health, and social and administrative sciences.
The Department Head is responsible for implementing a multifaceted mission by direct and collaborative efforts relating to vision and leadership, program administration, personnel development, and scholarly activities that occur on the West Lafayette and Indianapolis campuses. Additionally, programmatic oversight is required for graduate programs, residency and fellowship programs, and international programs in London, Colombia, and Eldoret, Kenya. The latter of which is part of a collaboration with the Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine’s Nobel-prize nominated Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) program. The Department Head also is a member of the Dean’s Leadership Team and contributes to the teaching of Doctor of Pharmacy and graduate students.
The Department consists of 20 tenure-track faculty, 25 clinical faculty, along with many adjunct faculty and hundreds of affiliate faculty preceptors. Many practice in specialized areas such as drug information, internal medicine, ambulatory care, cardiology, infectious diseases, women’s health, and nuclear pharmacy. Research initiatives are also highly diverse, with a broad portfolio of funding from federal and state agencies, industry, and foundations.
Within the Department of Pharmacy Practice, two graduate program tracks exist: (a) Health Services Outcomes and Policy and (b) Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences, the latter of which operates in close collaboration with the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine. The Department also offers several PGY1 and PGY2 residency programs and many fellowship programs in collaboration with pharmaceutical industry sponsors and the FDA. Additional centers and programs within the Department include Rx-SafeNet (a pharmacy practice-based research network), the oldest and largest nuclear pharmacy training program in the country, and an endowed Center for Health Equity and Innovation. Beyond the Department, long-term partnerships and collaborations exist with the Regenstrief Institute for Health Care, the Indiana University Schools of Medicine and Public Health, Eskenazi Health, IU Health, and other health systems across Indiana.
The College is seeking candidates who possess a Doctor of Pharmacy, PhD in Pharmacy, and/or other related doctoral degree and have a solid record of: (a) a vibrant and funded scholarly research program, (b) effective leadership in areas related to the practice of pharmacy, and (c) excellence in teaching. Prior administrative experience is desirable, but not required. The appointment is at the level of full professor (with tenure), and an appointment to an Endowed Professorship will be considered for highly qualified candidates.

The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Pay, Benefits, &amp; Work Schedule Salary:&nbsp;$104,655 - $141,000 annually
Schedule/Appointment:&nbsp;Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch) / Includes evening and weekend hours&nbsp;
Working Conditions:&nbsp;Work is performed in an indoor office setting with frequent in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer workstation for prolonged periods of time, perform extensive data entry and other computer-related tasks and create/maintain filing systems for departmental records. Some evening or weekend work and/or occasional travel is required.
