POSITION:
The Portfolio Manager - Agribusiness Credit is located in any AgTexas office, or remote and within 150 miles of an AgTexas office location and salary that is negotiable depending upon experience. This position requires knowledge in loan structuring of agribusiness credits, loan participation/syndications and the ability to work with management and relationship managers to underwrite and service existing customers and develop analysis for potential customers in conjunction with Association staff.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Agricultural Business/Economics, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience and two (2) or more years of experience in the administration and credit underwriting of agribusiness loans. The ideal candidate must have experience in the analysis of complex credit packages and agribusiness operations. An excellent working knowledge of personal computers is essential, including proficiency with Microsoft Office software and various loan analysis software programs. This position requires understanding of accounting standards (cash and accrual) and credit policies and procedures. Must be familiar with agricultural risk management practices and its functional use. Strong skills are required in financial statement analysis, forecasting, and cash flow budgeting and collateral analysis. Good interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communications skills are required. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Develops and organizes loan applicant information for review and analysis by loan officers and inputs pertinent loan data into credit delivery system.</li>

Accountabilities 
<ul>
<li>Generate revenue in US regional golf, lawn, sports field, ornamental, and landscape markets with Syngenta Digital Platform offers</li>
<li>Introduce and represent Syngenta Digital Platform business to golf, lawncare, sports field, ornamental, and landscape businesses across the designated region and US</li>
<li>Independently conduct business meetings and events intended to grow the Syngenta Digital Platform within the region</li>
<li>Create opportunities to collaborate with colleagues to promote and support growth of Syngenta’s Digital Platform business in the US as part of the larger Syngenta Professional Solutions team.</li>
<li>Generate sales leads through online, phone, in-person and public presentations</li>
<li>Close sales leads via online, phone, and in-person using discovery, presentation, offer, and closing tactics.</li>
<li>Serve as first level of customer support for existing customer base, Syngenta SPS Territory and technical managers</li>
<li>Build and maintain relationship with Syngenta Professional Solutions customers and Syngenta Professional Solutions territory manager as field expert in Syngenta Digital Platform offers</li>
<li>Generate leads for large volume sales with Key Account Manager</li>
</ul>
Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree (preferably in turfgrass management and/or similar agronomy-related degree)</li>
<li>A minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales and/or customer-facing role</li>
<li>Up to 75% travel is required for this role during peak business season</li>
<li>Must have a Valid US driver’s license</li>
<li>All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship support from Syngenta</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Professional experience working on golf course maintenance team as a golf course superintendent or assistant superintendent</li>
<li>Significant experience working with application-based productivity software across multiple operating systems</li>
<li>Ability to learn and utilize different current digital platforms, e.g. operating systems, desktop/mobile phone/tablet applications, firmware and hardware equipment</li>
<li>Knowledge of agronomic principals for growing plants. Turfgrass and ornamental plant knowledge preferred.</li>
<li>Golf course management or lawncare operation management experience</li>
<li>Willingness to work in turfgrass and landscape environment, utilizing tools and hands to dig in soil, while maintaining professional attitude and appearance relative to the environment</li>

Crop Insurance Account Manager – Your Job Duties
As a Crop Insurance Account Manager, you will work on a small team of Account Managers alongside a large team of insurance producers supporting crop and agricultural clients including almond growers, pasture, rangeland, forage and livestock clients.

<li>Partners with insurance Producers to gather information and other supporting data to complete required applications, documents and reports for crop insurance clients</li>
<li>Assists with applications and producing necessary supplements and forms, reviewing all documents and policies for data and coverage accuracy</li>

<li>Prepare and send correspondence on all new and renewal policies to the client for various renewal periods throughout the year – you are in a high touch role talking with your clients a minimum of 2-3 times throughout the year</li>

<li>Process policy cancellations and notify client</li>

Crop Insurance Account Manager – Benefits &amp; Pay for You 
Your compensation will be an hourly rate equivalent to $70,000 - $85,000 a year + overtime (and anticipated especially during renewal periods). In addition, you will receive overtime pay every day if you elect to work a flexible work schedule, whereby you will work 8.2 hours per day and receive 1 day out of every 10 days off work. 
In addition, you are eligible for semi-annual incentive compensation based on individual and performance goals.
