Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
<ul>
<li>Take full ownership of your store's operations, team, and performance.</li>
<li>Lead and inspire a team of 8–15 employees across all shifts.</li>
<li>Be the go-to person when coverage is needed—you’ll typically work days but must be available for any shift, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.</li>
<li>Perform all duties of store employees including running the register, stocking, upselling, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining the lot and fuel pumps.</li>
<li>Coach team members to deliver excellent service and actively upsell promotions and key items.</li>
<li>Recruit, hire, and train new team members, focusing on growth, accountability, and teamwork.</li>
<li>Manage inventory, vendor orders, deliveries, and merchandising.</li>
<li>Handle all banking and cash deposits—must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.</li>
<li>Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, food safety, and customer satisfaction.</li>
<li>Control expenses and labor hours while achieving store sales goals.</li>
<li>Execute all company programs and marketing initiatives.</li>
<li>Be willing to take on anything the store needs—including cross-training and stepping in to manage deli or QSR operations when necessary.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>
Open availability with the ability to work any shift as needed, especially to cover unexpected call-outs.
</li>
<li>
A valid driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance (required for bank deposits).
</li>
<li>
Retail or food management experience preferred.
</li>
<li>
Willingness to lead by example in all aspects of store operations, including cleaning, upselling, and frontline service.
</li>
<li>
Strong communication skills, integrity, and decisiveness.
</li>
<li>
Minimum age requirement:
<ul>
<li>
18+ years old in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO
</li>
<li>
21+ years old in all other states
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
</li>
<li>
In Tennessee, must complete Topshelf Manager Training.
</li>
<li>Exempt store managers are required to work a minimum of 52 hours a week. </li>

Essential skills and experience:

<li>Store Operations experience with analysis, planning, financial acumen and driving results</li>
<li>Experience creating a customer centric environment and working in a consultative selling environment that provides customers a total solution</li>
<li>Experience developing a team in operational excellence to drive profitable YOY sales and margins</li>
<li>Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously</li>
