<li>Coordinating the scheduling of interpreters and monitoring that professional interpreting services are provided to our patients.</li>
<li>Processing all incoming/outgoing requests in a timely manner including head-start forms, prescription requests, referrals, transferring of records, post-op calls, etc.</li>
<li>Processing patient payments. Ensuring accurate posting of payments to each provider.</li>
<li>Keeping a clean and organized work area and lobby.</li>

Qualifications

<li>Release/obtain medical records to/from patients, authorized providers, and insurance carriers; maintain compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Maintain physician correspondence for new patient referrals, graduating patients, clinical notes, embryo transfer follow-ups, pregnancy outcomes, and birth congratulations.</li>
<li>Monitor out-of-town patient lab work and results.</li>

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. 
 
The Patient Care Coordinator holds a pivotal role in managing both patient care and administrative tasks. Their primary objective is to ensure that patients receive exemplary support and assistance throughout their healthcare journey.
 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating patient demographics and insurance information in the EHR system. </li>
<li>Schedule appointments and address patient inquiries via various channels. </li>
<li>Register and check-in patients in a timely manner through virtual check-in systems or in-person. Prepare necessary documents for the visit and ensure authorization coverage and payment for each visit. </li>
<li>Maintain accurate financial records by updating patient financial information, recording, and collecting patient charges, and providing receipts for payments. </li>
<li>Manage insurance claims and maintain accuracy of patient records in the Electronic </li>
<li>Health Record (EHR) system. </li>
<li>Provide support for patients encountering telehealth or technological challenges. Monitor online referral platforms and respond to incoming faxes promptly. </li>
<li>Notify providers of patients' late arrival; reschedule and/or make other accommodations when necessary. </li>
<li>Address patient needs, including prescription refills, prior authorizations, and medical record transfers. </li>
<li> Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining a clean and presentable front office and reception area. </li>
<li>Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies. </li>
<li>Encourages patient compliance with preventive care by reaching out to patients and reminding them when they are due for follow ups, re-evaluations, etc. </li>
<li>Other duties as assigned </li>
</ul>
Requirements:
 
<ul>
<li> High school diploma or equivalent. </li>
<li> Completion of a Healthcare Administration certificate program preferred </li>
<li> 3+ years of experience working as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in the healthcare field </li>
<li> Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Google Suite. </li>
<li> Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software. </li>
<li> Excellent organizational and time management skills </li>
<li> Strong interpersonal communication skills </li>
<li> Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. </li>
<li> Punctuality and efficiency paired with empathy and interpersonal skills. </li>
